So beautiful Elif - especially to hear about Lorca & ‘Duende’ on the Anniversary of Lorca’s death. I’m posting the video to FB (hopefully!) with an explanation of how come.
By the way I am reading my first book of yours - The Island of Missing Trees - and really getting a lot out of it - best from Veronica - 19/08/23 x

Thank you for this wonderful lesson!
I've never heard of Duende before but it resonates a lot with me. You also made me discover the music of Nick Cave. The two songs I listened to were very moving. I remember seeing him in "Der Himmel über Berlin", one of my favorite films. I would love to learn more about music and heavy metal from you:)

I absolutely love topics that you are choosing to talk about, but most of all, I love the way how you talk about them and put them into a context. I always wanted to know, is there an equivalent word for Turkish word ‘sevap’ in English or other languages?

Elif, what about the word ‘woman’? I’ve always found it intriguing… Like ‘man’ + ‘wo’, the extra chromosome. So women are kind of like men but with a “whoooo!” What’s its etymological origin?
