Excellent video! Leaves viewers to think about what needs to change in their educational environment that gives all students access to the curriculum. Thank you, Dr. Nicole! 😊
Oh, you mean James Lindsay, the reputable author, mathematician and published conspiracy theorist who has submitted hoax articles to academic journals, called on the government to censor those who oppose his views, and even got kicked off of Twitter as it exercised its right of free association (not to mention nobody is guaranteed the right to social media - you sign a contract when you make an account and can be banned whenever they please)? hm.

Wow! I am thankful I found this resource. It has caused me to think so much about my practices and all I have to still learn...and unlearn. I cannot wait to share it with my colleagues.
I am thankful to you as I take a look into how to bring and understanding of the need for equity to the mental health (and physical health) treatments for people of African decent. There seems to be a shortage of culturally competent practitioners in mental health agencies that with a 98% African American client population. Also the need for a focus on cultural/racial identity as a strengthening tool and how lack of an identity contributes to poor mental health. Again, Thank you.
8:06 "Math came from Africa"... this statement seems ahistorical. Mathematical concepts that influenced the Greeks and later European mathematicians have precedent in Sumerian, Babylonian, and Akkadian empires. I agree with the bulk of what the Dr. says, but I don't think she needs to invent facts to make her point.
seems like the same points others used to encourage their marxist beliefs, it's seemingly the same talking points, guilt-tripping, and victim mentality. Also calling trans "women" women, instead of men (as they truthfully are), can also point out the kind of ideologies being encouraged. They seem to be connected.
It’s being taught in my kids middle school this year. I think it’s a good thing. I think it’s helpful to see others through a critical conscienceness lense. Many in today’s society don’t really know how to grasp that there are other consciences outside of their own. People are waking up to this and teaching children how to embrace it.
She's a little too angry. I mean I get that this is a topic to be angry about, but when you are doing a talk to get people thinking being angry and yelling at people doesn't help at all. This seems more like just a session to complain and not really something that helps us. She's just all over the place trying to get to too many topics and not giving time to think or any really concrete solutions. I had a prof like this for my masters, he had such good things to say but was so angry and condescending it was just too hard to take anything in.
...she was not angry or yelling at ALL lol. Speaking loudly because you have a microphone to your mouth and having inflection so you don't sound like a robot does not make you "angry" or "yelling". She shows frustration (valid). Maybe you need to examine your biases.

Who else got here from a James Lindsay video that thoroughly exposes their Marxist totalitarian project?
Here here! I’d love to see these two go at it and James expose this evangelist
Yes, sir.
Same here.

Greatest endorsement for homeschooling ever.

I love equity, nothing like forcing others through threats to “share “
Threatening? How so?
And what fear do you have around sharing?
Is it possible to share the link to access the cited document, what is a curriculum?

AMAZING! AS A TEACHER I AM A STRONG PRACTIONER AND ADVOCATE OF ABOLITIONIST TEACHING and CULTURALLY SUSTAINING PEDAGOGIES!

Sounds like an excuse for not really teaching anything real to me. The easy way out. Teach BS.

What you call privilege is in reality the fruits of progress.
What you call progress, is in reality the result of hundreds of years of systemic oppression.
