Hey man this what life is about having fun with other people with not one drop of alcohol. My wife is from 73 and honestly the thing I love mostly about Russia is how people act with one another if you piss someone off they will let you know immediately if you need anything they will help without a thought. In Russia they will feed you even if it is their last sausage, loaf of bread or last serving of buckwheat.

I remember that well in the 70s in the small Michigan town I grew up in. We took Hunter's safety course in school after last class but had to bring your rifle or shotgun to school in a case.
The conservation club used to provide marksmen training for hunting and you boy scouts badge. The instructors were all WW2 guy's who were big outdoorsmen. I miss that era, fishing season, small game season, deer season, ice fishing hahaha 😁.
Trying to get back to it, where I live now know one is into any of it anymore.
Hey if they keep a healthy respect for their soldiers and military people by certain functions, I say good for them. They did it before the Nazis showed up and it helped their military survive.

I grew up in a different America, it was the 70s, and many of the adults were WW2 and Korean war vets who taught a healthy respect for our military people and the stuff they had to go through. Also things were different, we took our rifles or shotguns to middle school to learn gun safety and hunters safety certificate. We grew up with outdoorsmen, who may not have been rich, but enjoyed life, with boating, fishing season, small game, deer season and ice fishing not to mention earning your shooting badges in boy scouts and taking marksmen training at our lical conservation club. It was part of the fabric of life back then for many if us.
Hey gotta say if they teach their young to respect what their military people have to go through thats a good one and if I remember correctly the Soviet Union had shooting clubs before WW2. All helps with assimilation something the USA has lost.

I don't think it is wrong for any country to teach it's children about weapons and the realities of the world but I'm 61 and I guess times have changed. I was given a .22 rifle for my 10th birthday but that was common in Texas for many years.
