Gadd’s lab like he did with the Toads so he would be safe, but Mario insisted on going with Luigi so he wouldn’t have to fight King Boo alone. It doesn’t matter if it’s dangerous. They’re not only family, they’re a team, and teams stick together.
Earlier in the game, King Boo had both portraits of Mario and Peach in the room and Mario watched Boo take Peach through the wall Mario pushed open. He wanted to lead Luigi to Peach to free her. I think he and Luigi were planning on getting Peach and then flee the mansion with E Gadd and the Toads. But yeah either way, Mario wanted to help Luigi too and he didn't want his brother to do everything alone
I like that just having Mario around gives Luigi a ton of extra confidence. He's no longer scared to charge up to the top of the building and challenge what comes next, because his bro is at his side.
Wow, I really like Mario here, I can’t tell why I do, I like him here a lot more than other appearances, maybe it’s cause he really actually emotes kinda and acts very quick to the punch but still has that jolly attitude he’s known for.
I do enjoy Odyssey Mario’s mix of serious Galaxy-like faces and jolly happy moments, and honestly, if we can have that AND this Mario mixed together, you’ve got the perfect combo for me.
Mario's voice is also significantly better here Odyssey reused 3D World's performance and he sounded very raspy, hoarse, and unenthused in that game. Meanwhile in this LM3 clip, Mario's voice isn't nearly as raspy, crackly, or hoarse, he's a lot deeper than usual, and Mario sounds significantly more expressive and has much more personality in his voice here compared to Odyssey and 3D World
All these LM3 cutscene make me believe that the Mario Movie doesn't need fully voiced characters. Luigi's and Mario's broken english and jibberish is so endearing.
Considering it’s being made by the same people who made a entire movie with the main characters only being capable of unintelligible speech, I think they might actually do this.

Honestly, I think proper dialogue could work in these voices could be done without it being annoying or repetitive. Tone it down a very small amount, maybe add a TINY Brooklyn twinge, but not much.

I love how, even though Mario and Luigi will occasionally have bouts of sibling rivalry at times (because that's what siblings do), they will still stick by each other's side no matter what; the unconditional love for each other is strong. Luigi is frequently timid because he's cautious, and even as it might slow him down, he will face danger head-on if he has to, and having Mario there helps him boost his confidence. The pride that Mario has for his brother is beautiful, and seeing the brotherly love in this moment is something special. I hope they'll show more moments like this in future games.
But also what bothered me in Odyssey and 3D World is that he sounded really old, hoarse, and unenthused. There was a lack of expression and energy, but in this Luigi's Mansion 3 clip, he seemed to have a lot of expression again, and his voice doesn't seem as hoarse and raspy as usual.
Now this is a sweet moment. Just seeing how happy they were to see each other. And in beautifully animated 3D too. (Rage all you want if you think Mario is a bad brother.)
The way that they hugged each other really melts my heart and reminds me of my older brother that we bicker and we disagree sometimes but at the end of the day we have each other's back no matter what

Luigi may have been scared, but he was certainly no coward. He’s fearful, but he still has the courage to save the people he loves, especially Mario.
Haven't had a chance to play this game yet, but I love watching this scene. It really proves that Mario cares and is proud about his brother, and honestly watching them interact like this was pretty awesome! Got to say though, my favorite part of this scene was when Mario goes through the door, and after Luigi pulls out his flashlight to follow him, you can really see the confidence on Luigi's face, despite being scared of all the ghosts and mansion shenanigans, you can really see the confidence on his face when he's about to follow his brother.

Luigi WAS planning to save Princess Peach. He wanted to take Mario to the elevator first, but because Mario wanted to save Peach first, he refused, which is stupid because as I was playing the game, Mario was making a fool out of himself by getting himself in real danger, which may be concerning Luigi.

Love how the music gets suspenseful while also exciting near the end of the cutscene. It protrays Mario's daredevil attitude perfectly.

Luigi WAS planning to save Princess Peach. He wanted to take Mario to the elevator first, but because Mario wanted to save Peach first, he refused, which is stupid because as I was playing the game, Mario was making a fool out of himself by getting himself in real danger, which may be concerning Luigi.

Sarah Petra Stellington I wouldn’t say it’s been 40 years in the mushroom kingdom time. This might sound shocking, but the canon age of the mario and Luigi is 24. (Though it makes sense when you consider that mario and peach are around the same age since in the games where peach is a baby, mario is also a baby).
