By far one of the best commentaries of bike and experience with track dialog all at once with great footage. I thought this was entertaining and informative. Please keep the videos coming I am a Fan. Great Job Shawn.
Good vid. Thx for sharing. This info is great insight for those that are considering track days and have not been yet........as myself. Just waiting to get my 2019 Speed Triple RS here in the next week or two.......Can't wait :-)
I think the newer Speed Triple would split the difference between the two bikes and just might be the perfect bike. I have a 2012 Striple and a Limited 2002 Aprilia Tuono. Both are awesome but you can only ride one at a time. Were I in the market for a new bike , the Speed Triple would be first on my short list then the V4 Tuono. I’m not a big fan of the Aprilia graphics. I like the understated graphics on the Speed. The Aprilia’s graphics look too much like a advertisement.
@@MPjustaman I've heard really good things about the new Speed Triple RS. It is on my short list of bikes to test ride once my dealer gets a demo, and definitely expect a video when I do. My sales guy rode one and said it is his next bike without a doubt, and he's more of a cruiser/adventure guy.
I have the same exact bike as you color and all, I absolutely love it! I was hoping you would have discussed the Pirelli Rosa corsa II tires because I literally had a set installed on my bike yesterday and haven’t had a chance to ride due to our cold rainy east coast weather. Great vid though, not much content for us RS guys.
The Rosso Corsa II was a solid tire, good enough it didn't really make me think about it all day. The Tuono was such an overwhelming experience as well. They ran the bikes doing back to back sessions and I noticed no slip even in the 95* heat. I'm planning on buying a set of these when my Q3+ expire.
I was running the Dunlop Q3+ tires, 34/35 psi HOT. The suspension was set up by my dealer and I just add preload for the track days, don't have the settings off hand.
@@TheDriversPerspective i myself own a 2017 street triple rs and a friend of mine owns a 2018 tunono factory, from time to time he let me ride his tuono ... sorry but the street triple is almost a joke compare to the tuono, and iam a street rider only, i bet on the track the difference is even more .... i would swap any time...but cant afford it :)
Loved the video. I always like seeing footage of the RS on the track. I see you still have the Triumph frame sliders on there. Have the vibrations gone away? I still think about getting them for mine (more for aesthetics than anything).

Awesome choice on the bike...now get out to the track! :-)
Nice. Good vid. Love that Striple. Also Love that Aprilia. Two of the best bikes ever made.
They really are. I was in heaven riding both bikes.

hi did you use standard corsa tyres if what what pressures you set em at ,also did you change suspension to track settings as per the book ?

Picked the right bike 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Yup!

Thanks! I still have the sliders installed, I've just learned to ignore the additional vibrations. It is worth the added safety for the track days.
Best looking protection
@@WestyorkshirestRS it really does a good job of blending with the natural lines of the bike.
Did you use the lap timer?
Nope, I have an AIM Solo for that. The laptimer the bike includes is a stop watch, I can't remember to hit that every time I go across start/finish.
The Driver's Perspective nah you can set a distance so it automatically changes lap time
@@jimbo1485 Really? I was not aware of that. Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out next time!
