    I cannot believe she thought for a second she'd get away with killing her husband. Foolish mistakes at the crime scene, writing a children's book and drawing attention, and writing an incriminating letter in her jail cell that gets inspected regularly. She should write a book on how to get caught killing your husband.

    Edit: and also tack on that, whether she's in jail, or not, if she has another book to write, it will still be there after the trial.

  • @rhondaalbrecht
    @rhondaalbrecht Год назад +4

    Well, I hope that Richins' attorneys have advised her to stop writing letters that contain incriminating evidence against her, because while she is incarcerated in the county jail, she has no expectation of privacy. The jail personnel screen her mail, her phone calls, etc., and they're all recorded, and provided to the State prosecutors. Now, her defense has to do damage control, and that's what all this is about. They're trying to get that letter suppressed.

    Defense team wants to argue the letter is both “fiction for a novel” but it is also “covered by attorney/client privilege” as a letter to her attorney. They can’t even decide what their story is. Laughable that defense argued that the DA should be sanctioned and the case dismissed for doing their job. I give them credit for trying.
