    I'm loving this series of videos - just the right mix of infotainment and technical insight on each of the certification stages.

    It would be such a treat to be able to tour your factory and get to learn more first hand how those magnificent birds are made :)

      You can visit the assembly lines in Hamburg, once a year. They call the events "family days" I think.

    I assume from a rejected take-off brake test at MTOW we get the minimum distance for safe take-off runway length quoted in aircraft 'specs'.

    I shudder to think just how expensive this test is now as I saw, many years ago, a similar test on an early 747 which was said to cost $750,000 then! But they had to brake under full thrust.

    I was on an old airbus a320 and the crew told us to brace because of an emergency brake landing. I can barely hear tires screeching and popping and felt the heat inside the cabin pressure so the a320 parameters for braking system failed and intervene the most than the a380 maximum braking

      Not the plane, the brakes. The point of this test is the worst case scenario.

    It's big step in aviation thinking about full brake (Deceleration) in airplane 🛫✈

    The A380 died too soon. I guarantee it’ll be needed in the future. I hope Airbus have retained the tooling and intellectual knowledge for when this type is needed again. Very premature decision to end it. I’ve lost count of friends and colleagues who ensure it’s always an A380. Not a 330, 777 or 787.

    • @nickolliver3021
      @nickolliver3021 2 года назад +2

      Guess what the A380 will never bee needed in the future. It was a financial failure and they closed production fully so it wont reopen again. They have changed the a380 production site to a 321neo production site to help clear the backlog of orders. Even Boeing ended the 747 for a reason so the end of the a380 was coming.
