    Can't find a "three point turn" in the handbook. What is it?

    • @lualuadmv
      @lualuadmv  9 месяцев назад +5

      Hello, thank you for your comment. It's true that not every question in the handbook mirrors exactly what you might encounter in the real test. Some questions are designed to test your logical thinking skills.
      For instance, the three-point turn is a maneuver that allows you to turn your vehicle on a narrow road by turning the steering wheel and making three movements.
      Here's an example of a question that my friend encountered, which isn't in the handbook:
      "When you smell Carbon Monoxide in your car, what should you do?
      A. Open the door a little bit but keep the car running.
      B. Close all doors and keep the car running.
      C. Check the tire."
      In such situations, it's crucial to use your logic and common sense to choose the safest and most appropriate answer.
      Good luck!

    You should never make a U-turn in a business district according to California regulations. So it is stated in DMV driving handbook. One of your questions has a wrong answer.

    • @lualuadmv
      @lualuadmv  8 месяцев назад +3

      Thank you for your comment. I would clarify your question as below:
      In a business district, you may make a U-turn only at an intersection, unless a sign prohibits it, or where openings are provided for turns.
      At Section 6: Navigating the Roads; it states Never make a U-turn: Where a No U-turn sign is posted.

    •  8 месяцев назад +2

      @@lualuadmv Again, in page 20 of the California Driver's Handbook reads as follows: "Never make a U-turn... in business districts." It does not present any exemptions. There might be a very rare exemption somewhere in California. But for test purposes, I believe safe to abide by the handbook.

      The correct answer is A. under no circumstances.
      Driving under the influence of any medication that impairs your ability to drive is illegal, regardless of whether it was prescribed by a physician. Even if the medication is prescribed, if it affects your ability to operate a vehicle safely, you are not permitted to drive.

      The correct answer to the question, "Which child requires a child restraint system?" is:
      B. A seven-year old who is 4 feet 7 inches tall.
      Child restraint systems, such as booster seats, are generally required for children under a certain age or height. Many places have laws that require booster seats for children until they are 8 years old or 4 feet 9 inches tall, whichever comes first. Thus, a seven-year-old who is 4 feet 7 inches tall would still require a child restraint system to ensure their safety while traveling in a vehicle.

    It’s amazing how many of these test videos are inaccurate and extremely sloppily produced. None of them have any real connection to the actual DMV and are like so many things on RUclips, created solely for the money generated from the amount of hits they get. This video is a case in point filled with inaccuracies ,wrong answers, misinformation, and other mistakes and glitches. Best to get the official manual and just read it over several times.

      For example: question 70 which asks “which child requires a child restraint system?” Your answer is “a seven-year-old who is 4‘,7“ tall“. Here’s the actual answer from the official DMV manual: “Children under the age of 8 must be secured in a car seat or booster seat in the back seat. Children who are 8 years of age OR have reached 4'9” in height may be secured by a booster seat, but at a minimum must be secured by a safety belt. (California Vehicle Code Section 27363.)” you actually have that answer as “C” but you contend that it is the inaccurate answer “B”

      #82 is correct.
      When parking uphill with a curb, turning your wheels away from the curb helps ensure safety. If the parking brake were to fail, the car would roll backward, and the wheels would catch against the curb, preventing the car from rolling into traffic.
