    Dustin try this.
Press and hold the start/stop button with key fob with you and foot off the brake pedal for 3-5 sec. lights on your dashboard will flash and your truck will go into ACC mode now you can move the gear lever to neutral by pressing on the brake and shifting to neutral.
From owners manual. Service Mode This power mode is available for service and diagnostics, and to verify the proper operation of the malfunction indicator lamp as may be required for emission inspection purposes. With the vehicle off, and the brake pedal not applied, pressing and holding the button for more than five seconds will place the vehicle in Service Mode. The instruments and audio systems will operate as they do when the ignition is on, but the vehicle will not be able to be driven. The engine will not start in Service Mode. Press the button again to turn the ignition off.

Went from bad design to worse. I quit the business because of the lack of engineering quality. The worst vehicle was the Corvette. Gm knows about the issues but won't resolve them.

Strip all these new trucks back to say loaded 2012 models that was enough options :leather w/heated cooled seats sunroof , trailer brake controls and power windows with a good stereo and power pedals and possibly sliding rear window.. that’s enough!!! Options, drop the prices back to 45-55 max and they will sell… we don’t need 14” screens. Seats that vibrate if you fall out of lane , self driving etc 360 cameras .. too much stuff to go wrong and we won’t need a 240 amp alternator either.. they are overkill on options and no one can afford them … under 10k in miles and getting towed to dealer already is unacceptable- no matter if it’s a shifter or valves or stupid afm … go back in time a bit ,, no one needs a plane cockpit in their vehicle..

That module for a '23 GM/Chebbie 6.2 engine is less then $40 bucks. I guess that I would have one or two in my glove box along with any tools for WHEN the OE part died. Of course most GM parts sites as well as Rock Auto Parts are out of stock. My history with those kinds of JIC spares stinks. I still have 2-3 of those exhaust temperature thermocouples for a Ford 6.7 diesel and just trashed the throttle position sensor for older Ford pickup

I used to be a GM technician back in the 90s. I used to put an average of about two fuel pumps in per day on all different GM cars and trucks. I can’t believe that GM still has this issue in 2024. I also hear they got problems with the engines and the transmissions too now. GM is a vehicle now that I would not want to own.

They don't fix this because it's a "make work" program for the dealerships. This is why the business model is endangered. Toyota refuses to build EV's because of this very issue. Vehicles that don't break require no service.

I got locked 🔒 in our 1995 Silverado, 🙄. shop truck, because the battery was disconnected, and both inside door handles were broken, no sliding rear window. Embarrassing!! 🥴

@@N54-8K I love the Cadillac Dts platinum.. love it, but that a 2 piece motor with a half case .. so the blocks 2 pieces on the northstar.. they tend to leak.. also this is a fussy motor that needs the coolant changed on time and not every 10 years..gm changed the headbolts to shorter ones for 97-99 ( nightmare) went back to longer for 2000-03 ( still didn’t help , head gasket failures) finally in late 04’ builds they went to ls coarser threaded headbolts for 05( last year deville) and 06-11 dts.. and it finally solved the problem ( took gm 11 years and ruined the northstar nameplate) I would only buy 05-11 … beautiful older big sized car.. yes the ford panther platforms more reliable ( crown Vic , marquis, Lincoln town car) but not as good looking…
Basically by 2013-14 is when automakers changed body styles and this is when they started going nuts on over tech laden interiors… I always say nothing newer than a 13’… todays trucks are really nice but they are built like crap with cheap junk parts .. they are blowing engines / transmissions a few thousand miles outta dealers lots.. not worth it… you don’t need 14” screens lane assist, 14 cameras etc…
