Wife and I are from Canberra. We overnighted at Crystal Brook caravan park just before Easter last year. This was following on from an Eyre Peninsula and Gawler Ranges tour, before catching up with relos in Adelaide, who we hadn't seen in a couple of years because of Covid. Wife's Dad apparently spent time there in the '40s when he was a kid. Unfortunately we were on a timetable and couldn't spend time looking around. Best facilities of any caravan park we have ever been to, by far. And it has slightly more than one Corella.
Can always do a fill in video of a road train trip Mick. We fuelled up in Crystal Brook when we took the long way home from Melbourne to Mount Isa back in 2015 👍
Was the long way for you. Yes another road train video, one is about to start being made soon but it all takes time as I still have a job that must be done without delay.
It was very interesting watching this video as it was a trip down memory lane because in the late 1970s my ex decided at the last minute to take us to SA & we ended up at Crystal Brook for a few days at the end of December & spent the time exploring before heading home again so he could go & spend a week with his father watching the cricket. So it was interesting to see what the place looked like today & yes, we stayed at that park & there was no water to be found so I found it a curious name for a dry hot place. It has certainly improved with time.
Thanks for the catch up at Crystal Brook. Great little park & town pity weather was not on our side. Great bakery & butcher helped refill pantry before we left. Catch you somewhere else soon
Thanks Mick....good video of the area. Enjoying the videos of your travels through the mid north and Flinder's areas...a nice trip down memory lane. Good luck with the medicals !
Good luck with the medical side of things Mick. Great video as always. Wonderful sights and views. Sitting here in the UK at 11.30pm with my cat watching your awesome video (been watching them all afternoon/evening actually) Appreciate your efforts in filming all of this. Take care, Norm in the UK.
Great looking at Crystal Brook. Burra is a nice place to visit, haven't been there near on 40 years I reckon. Good luck with the tests and the Colorado in for 2 or 3 weeks, wow, you getting upgrades done or what? What about a little interim filler vid of you truckin up North n South again for the next vid, I know you think it's boring content but I could watch that all day lol. Looking forward to the next adventure, when ever you drop that on the channel. Thanks for the content mate.
Thanks Bluedog, I have a sister that lives in Burra so we get up there every now and again although not with the caravan. The Colorado is having an aluminum canopy being made for the back, it is there now as I type having it fitted, more room hopefully. I am currently about to start working on a new truck video showing the life of a 2-up truck driver, you may like that one when I get it up onto the channel. All the very best to you, take care.
Great video, thanks Mick. We usually drive through there from Darwin enroute to Victoria with the camper trailer but don't have time to stop. Will be sure to spend a couple of nights next time. I enjoy your videos very much. Thanks for putting them together for us to watch. Hope the car and health goes well.
Thanks DJ, glad you like the videos. The car has been out for a week now so hopefully back in a week's time. As for the health, we will find out more next week.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 I have a 2012 Dmax, 152,000km. Radiator decided to let go, also been out for a week off the road. No parts in Darwin, coming from Adelaide.
@@djjames6576 sorry to hear about the radiator. Parts from Adelaide to Darwin should only take a couple of days to source, good luck with the repair, hopefully you will be back on the road soon.
Another great video to watch. I'm from Vic and have driven past it a couple of times. On our last trip home from Alice Springs we stayed there for a couple of days and found it very relaxing. Good for people to support these communities. Travel Safe and Enjoy your journey 👍🏼🇦🇺.
Good luck with the medical tests , and life throws these at you , so I will be waiting here until you post don’t worry . Yeah my life is a little up in the air too ,so get how and why . But anyway great clip again and the rain sounded lovely, watching it is well ,calming . 👍❤️🐾
Thanks Sassy, yes life changes as we all age. Getting to that older age is a blessing, not everyone is lucky enough to get there. The rain did sound nice, as always.
Another great video Mick & Sal;ly. Things were built to last in the old days!! Good luck with your health checks. I just had a suspect heart scare but after the scan they found I had no blockages in my arteries ( I am 66!! ). Anyhow take care!!
Nice to see you folks again! Our wives would get along my wife is into quilting as well and you and I could exchange trucking story's. Blessings to you folks.
Great to see Crystal Brook, I always seem to be going somewhere else when I go through there. From a fellow quilter Sally have fun at your quilt break. Good luck with your tests Mick and the ute service. I'll be ready to watch the next one whenever you get it out. 🙂
Another great video Mick, Crystal Brook is a lovely well laid out town, you should check out Bowman Park one day, its a great donation park with lots of history.Good luck with your health check up and look forward to your next video.
We stayed at that park when we visited SA a few years ago. Lovely spot Mick. We’re biting at the bit still waiting for our new camper. Shouldn’t be long now. Will miss your videos but we all hope that you remain well and happy, both of you. Best wishes from Tassie 💜
Thank you Karen, our videos will still be coming as they are available, just not too sure what is happening in the near future for a while. We did go for a day drive yesterday to the Yorke Peninsula so there will be a video going up in two weeks time for that one.
Another interesting video. Crystal Brook looks like a pretty country town. Look after yourself when you have your medical procedure. As always best wishes from Rotorua.
Good to see you again on the road again 🙌 . Have passed through crystal brook on the way to the Red Centre. Your coverage was great. We will have to go there for a weekend. Like you I'm still working . Hope the colorado is on the mend. Also we hope your medical tests are ok. We know what that is like. My RC 2911 Colorado decided to do the clutch in in the NT now home back in Hope Valley. Looking forward for along weekend away in September. May see you on our travels one day.😊 .
Thank you William, the Colorado is actually having the tub removed and an aluminum canopy fitted, We are after a more usable space there and not the ability to carry more as weight is always an issue for us. You never know, we may see each other out there one day, would be good.
Oh bugger delayed episodes. LOL I like how you travelling around Mike in a standard caravan not like the others with their you beaut four-wheel drive caravans. This shows that you can still enjoy caravanning with a standard van. Cheers mate can't wait for the next episode. 🇭🇲😀👍🍻🍻
Thanks for those comments Jimmy. We have and will always continue to use some form of tenting when going to those places that we are unable to take our caravan. The cost of as well as the weight of a full off road van out weighs the reason to get one for us. We enjoy what we do and that is what counts.
Having stayed overnight a few times at Jubilee Park I can confirm, that yes, the freight trains are VERY loud during the night ! Great spot in the town though.
Crystal Brook eh, I think it would have been around 2005 when I was doing Pilot/Escort I had to go to Hann River up Cape York and Escort an Optus Dozer to Crystal Brook , wouldn't you think they would have had one in SA to lay cables. anyhow it was a good paying job.
Looks like a great place for a couple of days to unwind. Will you be posting anymore videos from the road train travels? Hope the medical issues get sorted .

Gawler Ranges, i started my younger days growing up there. Plenty of corellas in Crystal brook, that is for sure.
Bonsoir Mick. Merci pour votre vidéo. Au plaisir de vous revoir après vos examens médicaux que j'espère favorables. JPhB de France.
