i'm like 2 minutes in but i already love the depth you went into explaining your chord progression! i for sure wanna see more videos like this, i feel like i can learn a lot from someone who makes beats like this
glad to hear it helped! this is what i struggled with for so long, so its in the forefront of my mind when making videos. Ill definitely be making more vids explaining how I come up with chords & melodies in the future
Just keep learning new techniques and practice, collaborating with other artists or producers can really help you expand as well. You got it just keep grinding 👏🏼
Im gonna make a vid on this in the next couple of days, theres a technique that ive implemented in my everyday process that has helped me greatly in the past 12months ❤ its a little too in depth to explain in a comment
Groove or the swing tool in fl are typically never necessary for getting a drum bounce, it’s all in the programming. Start with a 2-step hi hat and a clap on the 3 and the 7, and just make adjustments to create unique bounce. For mixing your kick and 808 sidechain them together using a limiter plugin, and play around with the knobs to achieve a clean sound. Hope this helps.
thank you ! plugins for melodies I usually use - serum, zenology, korg triton, korg m1, omnisphere, monopoly, kontakt effects - any stock ableton stuff is great, arturia delay eternity, arturia plate, kramer tape, j37, rc-20, valhalla supermassive
