Those officers were very well trained and experienced, I think they handled the situation flawlessly. Saved the kids life too. This shows amazing mental stability and the ability to keep calm and methodical in a stressful and dangerous situation. Bless the men ( and or women) and their families.

I wonder how someone gets to the point where they think they can pull a gun on police officers who all have eyes and bodycams and then try to deny it. That sort of behavior and mindset doesn't seem like it would just develop overnight.
