Probably a practice run to test an evidence disposal method or viability as a dead-drop. You should let police know what you found in case somewhere there has been a similar circumstance. Heck yeah I want to see the other one!

Could be but I'd say burn it not throw it in the river. Or it could be a stolen suit case. Who knows but definitely alot of work for nothing in it.
I bet someone tried to make their own anchor and it was so heavy they couldn’t lift it back on the boat. The suitcase was just for land transport and they wrap the sheets around it with the duct tape so that it wouldn’t get snagged on anything under the water. It is always interesting watching your videos 👍🏻🙏🏻

I agree 100%. They probably should have called the police before they pulled them up and they shouldn't have cut into them or anything because it sounds to me like they are from a "crime, perhaps a murder" and someone didn't want the contents found, whether it's bloody clothes, sheets or what have you.... yikes... hope they at least called the police after the fact... I haven't finished watching the video yet...

It could have been something on the sheet that they were wanting to hide. Personally, I would have burned the sheet but many people overthink things.
Going through that much trouble to dump just sheets seems strange but there could have been blood on them.

Perhaps the sheet and the suitcase itself both had "evidence" on them from some crime and that is why they were thrown into the river with the rocks to weigh it down .

So I think with both those suitcases full of rocks, the chain that came up with the suitcase was used to tie something or someone down under the water with the suitcases as anchors.
That's exactly what I thought not somebody use that as an anchor. To hold them in place because of the current.
My thoughts exactly! They couldn't tie rocks to something and the rock come undo. So they place it in a suitcase. And tied it to something.
The suitcase looks like it has been there awhile. I think that whatever they used the suitcase to tie down came loose and floated away. You did say that the current was really ripping so you can imagine that the current has been stronger at some point. 🕵️♀️🧐

The sheet looked like it had blood stains on it! Perhaps they wanted to get rid of the evidence….In any case I would definitely call the Police! It could be a piece of the puzzle that they are missing in an investigation. I’m thinking that the sheets are what the person or persons were trying to get rid of. Hang on to those sheets, man. I mean, somebody made a huge effort to make sure those cases stayed down in the water. Take the sheets in to the police and let them look things over.

I think that the suitcase wasn't lowered down. I think it was attached to someone who eventually rotted and floated downriver.

Some fishermen made a couple of homemade anchors because of the current to keep their boat in one spot while they’re fishing!

Maybe the sheets and the "suitcase" is what they were trying to do away with. There are surely sinister reasons someone might want to get rid of sheets and a suitcase, and since they went to so much trouble to so, my guess would be that it's tied to something criminal. (For instance...I found a body in a dumpster when I was 17, meanwhile a lady's job called the cops for a wellness-check on her, and the husband said his wife went to visit (luggage gone) her sister who was sick. But her coworkers told the cops she had no sister. He was later convicted.) I would let the police know about your find and keep the rocks and tape pieces that you cut all together. You may want to ask their advice on what you should do when you find things that are questionable, so you can be a help, Not a hindrance. It's a learning moment that will give you experience...much like the Adventures With Purpose guys. Mishandling those things could mean someone getting away with murder, so you may want to come up with a sling type net system that will allow you to pick those things up better, because the bag could have been ripped open on the sharp rocks and branches on the bottom making it come apart and lose valuable evidence. Cool video though...I wish you much success!!

@@DesignByKirk Yes, I do. Most of the time people have to get rid of things quick. Can you imagine a person with a busy household trying to get rid of a body in one location and other evidence in another, before any variation of their normal routine is noticed? Just as not everyone has time to burn a body or dismember it, instead they quickly dig a shallow grave. Every crime's circumstances are different. (And I can't think of a better reason that sheets tightly bound in a suitcase would be thrown in a river.)

I would talk to authorities before you take the next one up. You don’t want to mess up any evidence that could potentially put a criminal in jail. But then again it could be nothing serious.

I'm more on the theory that this was the homemade anchor for the other package and they were initially tied together with the same strap and dropped together,, but the initial force snapped the strap, or fish, boat propellers, etc ripped the strap that was connecting them and the current separated the"lighter one" (the one you guys left behind) which contains the real evidence we all want to see!😱

If u never went to get the package, u would always be thinking about what was in it. U scratched that itch, now u have to get the 2nd package, and scratch that itch as well. Great work guys. They were boat anchors ⚓️ that someone had made up to hold them in the strong current under the bridge probably for fishing 🎣 they probably had a bouy tied on them at one time 🕐 to make them 👍. That's my take on it being a river fisherman

Told ya it was just an anchor! Maybe between the two it was just so they had a trot line or they wanted to comb this part of the river without getting dragged downstream.
I really think you should have called police BEFORE you cut the tape and coverings off the first case. There was nothing inside, so it's obviously the case itself that someone was trying to get rid of. Perhaps it had something dead in it before they wrapped the case and duct-taped it.

The sheets, the weight holding something down might have been the reason.
My guess, Someone dropped them there to be "Permanent" anchors so they could hold center. Small boats and kayaks would probably still drift with a standard anchor in the current.

Bust open the Rocks and see if anything is inside!! To me and the shape of them they look a lot like they could have been bags of cement you could easily hide something down in a dry bag and then “ turn it into a big rock “ with just water!

That's really suspicious..I would definitely retrieve the 2nd suit case and notify the local authorities that work that area..it could be a missing link to a open or cold case investigation in that area or in another county or even another state...I know...sounds paranoid but you never know...

First suitcase may have been used to weigh the other one down. You need to find the other suitcase.
They just ignored the folded up thing, assuming it was just part of the suitcase. They needed to open that thing up all the way! Maybe secret documents, a treasure map, blackmail stuff, drugs, personally identifying information for some murder victim, who knows??

Why would anyone go to all the trouble of putting big rocks inside and tape it all up and
put it down in the water hiding it like like they did,and it had to take more tan 1 or 2 people to do it.

An electric winch would be a great addition to the boat. That rope looked like it was so hard to grab. It’s such a shame all that evidence got tore up. Imagine the effort it took for you three to lift that out the water. That means it took a few people to dump this up and over the bridge. It’s not a decoy. It’s right in front of you

I’m wondering if those weren’t actually rocks but cement poured into suitcase with body parts inside. Couldn’t tell from the video. I couldn’t think of another reason why anybody would do that
you beat me to that theory as I saw as well that the sheets attached to the suitcase looked like there was RUST or Blood on the material! Easily could be evidence someone was tryirg to get rid of ! Yeah? Maybe?
Guys.....what I noticed is that both the rock and the sheet look discolored. Perhaps someone needed to get RID of evidence.....a "sheet" wrapped around a "rock" at the bottom of a body of water....sounds strange that someone would go through that much effort for nothing. Have them tested. You never know!

I mean it’s awesome there finding stuff like this. When you find something that someone went through that much to try to conceal you might should call the cops! What if there was something that gets lost that was avoidable that could have helped someone find lost loved ones!
Theories from reading the comments…
Theory 1: sheets had bloodstains (I personally think it’s stains from the grime on the river floor, but I’ll entertain the idea of bloodstains) and someone was murdered and there’s many more suitcases containing weapon, body parts, other clean up material, etc, and the suitcases were the methods to keep it hidden
Theory 2: something was originally tied to the suitcase, hence the strap, but whatever it was either fell apart and floated away, or rotted away (maybe bones somewhere down the river now 🤷🏼♂️)
Theory 3: several decoy suitcases original dropped, possibly marked by owner on the duct tape, recipient knew what case to grab, real suitcase contained (insert item here) and has already been retrieved by other party
