Sometimes the easy solution is often the most overlooked, especially in such a high stress situation like that. Props to Mini for being able to isolate the issue and get the boys back on track.

Not trying to downplay Mini's capability here, but I watched another fnatic game comms voice where Mini said the same thing.
It is basically a recurring issue (very common in esports teams when they are losing), and it is something that they had already identified previously.
What Mini did is simply a reminder to tell them to comms, that's why he said here that it is an 'easy solution'.
Again, asking the team to comms is the solution and mini is right, but it's not like "isolating the issue" is anything difficult because of the experience the team has.
@@cnaizhen Imo, I think it is a great thing to say. If you can just focus on changing 1 thing, you make little steps in the right direction. And in all team games, comms are the most important thing. Good comms led them to stop overpeeking, getting good reads, etc., and Fnatic just started building from there.
It's a good idea to start small on one thing, and the rest will follow. Mini did a good job at making them realise this in the heat of the moment. Sweet and simple.
@@granblueau5113 I fully agree with you. It is definitely effective, just not a revolutionary isolation of problem/team fix that OP is hinting at.
It's like asking someone with a fever to take paracetamol - it works, it's effective, but not something that will get you praises for the suggestion.
It's different from a situation where Mini correctly identified the weakness of loud and asked the team to attack the weak side - this deserves more praises, and may have very well happened during the fnatic-loud match. Just not revealed here because it's a strat leak.
@@cnaizhen Psychologically very effective.. All the stress, anxiety, pressure.. Etc.. Their minds were flooded with multiple thoughts.. In that exact scenario, he gave them 1 thing to focus on.. Which tricks their mind from jumping here and there..
man just having to play 5 maps already sounds so mentally and physically draining but making a 3-11 comeback on top of that? SO well-deserved i'm glad we got the happy ending

5:41 this effect was sick because that's probably exactly how it feels for a pro in those situations. Obviously their sight doesn't just become blurry but they probably feel very tunnel visioned and focused on so much.

I think it was so poetic that Boaster didn't win the 12-11 round, because even though individually everyone on the team is talented, they don't usually rely on individual plays to win their games, but rather teamwork, with fantastic igl'ing from boaster. But sill, it would have been amazing to see Boaster win that 2v1.
Almost turned off the stream when this happened but my friends encouraged me to keep watching and it turned into the most hype e-sports moment I've ever watched, chills everytime.
I just cant get enough of this match. THE STATE THIS GAME HAD ME IN. LEFT MY HEART IN CRITICAL CONDITION and then pieced it all back together
Every time I watch replays of the game, I get goosebumps. It is surreal that they made that 3-11 comeback. So incredibly happy fnatic won :)
It is a known fact that every person on that team made a contribution which made it work their way and helped FNC on their comeback.
Derke: the frontline duelist fragger for FNC, and a dead-ass aimbot; the amount of first bloods this guy has won, has to be something enemy teams fear for. He won that crucial 1v1 clutch against his Jett counterpart, Aspas, which snowballed the comeback.
Boaster: the backbone controller, the IGL for FNC and literally the funniest Valorant pro; apart from being a goofy guy who is adored by many fans and players alike, he makes some insane mid-round calls against enemy teams, in which help FNC win those crucial frags.
Leo: the prodigy initiator; talented beyond belief, his infamous Sova terrifies even the best pro players in the gaming scene. His number of shock darts kills in recent tournaments have definitely broken some VCT records for real, and he is a consistent fragger on top of that.
Alfajer: the sentinel anchor for the team; kept enemy lines from flanking the team, and always had their teammates' back. Made that insane 1v2 clutch, that catapulted the score 12-11 in favor of FNC.
Chronicle: the most versatile flex player in VCT history; his antics have hindered every team that has ever went against FNC and proved that their team is a force to be reckoned with. His heroics gave him a 3k and won the final OT round for FNC.
Last, but not least.
Mini: the voice of sanity and reason for FNC; this guy is the mastermind behind every FNC strat ever seen on stage, and proven time and again, how much a calm mindset can bring back a team's morale and composure in dire scenarios, where all hope ceases to exist.
You guys did well to sign Chronicle, that guy is a real champion and has a good mentality.
I was just happy for the Brazilian crowd, they learnt one of the best lessons that day. 😂😂😂😂😂 Eat that humble pie.
Still insane that the boys brought it back from 3-11. Can’t wait to see y’all in Tokyo!

I hadn't watched the entire match live. Actually, I watched until it was 3-11, then I thought "yeah Loud won, there is no way Fnatic can comeback from this, their mentals are already gone." and I closed the stream. I came back around an hour later and when I saw that Fnatic won I was so confused! And that's how I became a fan of Fnatic too :D

I can't imagine the condition of them playing 5 games in a super hot packed arena with thousands of people shouting at the top of their lungs with white noise being played on headphones that place a ton of pressure on your ears with earphones underneath that which probably are starting to slip out after 5 games, insane how they're able to play like that.

16:16 It really is a problem when the crowd start to cheer their team a bit too loud. I guess one of the solutions for this problem is having them in a booth where they can't or atleast hear less voice from the crowd. Its really distracting, and from what Derke and Boaster said, the crowd really messed their hearing ability. Well I don't know, it's just my silver opinion.
And Of course, it wouldn't fix the problem completely. But atleast a little bit less distracting. Like in this video titled "The Complex History Of Esports' Crowd Noise Problem" by theScore esports (you should watch it), it is atleast make the crowd less noisy or smt.
