I, from faraway South Africa, usually feel aligned with Marjorie's views, but here I disagree with her refusal to apologize. Her words re eye lashes was clearly unasked for and bad manners.
I used to teach high school math. This is the type of conduct (or MISconduct) that I often saw with inner city students. It was a Catholic high school for girls, but it was an inner city school in Chicago, and behavior like this was very common, almost the norm in fact. Very immature. And not conducive to building a strong learning environment in the classroom. Really sad.
