I finally watched it last week and I cried from beginning to end. I'm 28 now with 6 beautiful children, just wish my mom was here to see her grandchildren. Yes I just unliked it by mistake because I was crying and didn’t realize I had I already liked it. I was just on the phone with my mom who has Alzheimer’s and the song came on during a movie playing in the background. Started bawling! Tried to cover it up for her. She knew I was crying. She is still coherent enough to know when one of her kids is upset.
I know that this causes many to think of their dear ones struggling with or lost to cancer, and to all of you and my own brave and courageous father, who still fights on, I say, “keep on, through the dark, there’s a light,” but I also must acknowledge this one for my beautiful youngest son. His life was hard as a completely dependent, wheelchair bound little guy, but if ever an angel came down to teach us how to love, it was as a little muscular dystrophy patient...! He lived four years and seven months and then flew away on September 30th, 2016 due to MD induced congestive heart failure. I thank God for every shining ray of light the he sends through the seemingly week and dying, who in turn teach us of inner strength, grit and love...! Fly little one!

This is the sweetest song.. It used to describe my relationship with my husband before his stroke. Since I brought him home from rehab, he's said the most hurtful things that changed so much.. He used to be my "home." After telling me that he no longer loves me it's been a knife through my heart and I'm the person who was lost and lonely again. This song used to be a beautiful metaphor for me. Now I wish I could have him back. I don't know if it'll happen.

I lost my daughter when she was 3 days old, I didn't attend her funeral, I couldn't. Some can and get comfort from it, and some find it just too much, my not attending didn't mean I loved my daughter any less, I had already said my goodbyes to her, I couldn't see her taken for a second time. Please don't hold any anger towards your mother for her decision. Until you face losing a child yourself which I hope you never have to do, then you'll never understand, I'm sorry for you loss x

Not everyone has the strength to see their loved ones be buried. and it doesn’t mean that you don’t respect the funeral itself. I‘m sure she even helped to plan the funeral but it’s a whole different thing to attend one. Plus she said, that she said her goodbyes to her daughter. And she’s actually the one who’ll always think about her daughter. A lot more than the people who attended her funeral. I don’t wanna be rude but I find it a bit disrespectful to talk to someone (who actually lost her daughter) like that. Why do you want her to feel bad about not attending the funeral ? You have to respect other people’s choices!

I've only watched this movie twice and couldn't manage a third time. I cry all the way through because it's such a different way of telling a story with a cancer sufferer involved.

This is the sweetest song.. It used to describe my relationship with my husband before his stroke. Since I brought him home from rehab, he's said the most hurtful things that changed so much.. He used to be my "home." After telling me that he no longer loves me it's been a knife through my heart and I'm the person who was lost and lonely again. This song used to be a beautiful metaphor for me. Now I wish I could have him back. I don't know if it'll happen.
My mum got married and this was the song she walked out too last week I’m such a proud son.
They are showing it again, and now I am the one crying. It is easy to lose perspective in life and watching this it reminds you how lucky you really are to be alive.

I am so sorry for your loss. The loss of a child is one of the most painful things that a parent some times have to endure. Your mother was and probably will be in so much pain for the loss of her baby. Hard to say good bye.

being adopted and in taken away from my biological mother at three and placed in foster care this song means so much to me cause it makes you reflect on so much in your life. I dedicated this song to my adopted mother because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here today

my little sister died of cancer when I was 9 and I ended up singing at her funeral. My mother didn't even go.... not even to the burial....
I lost my daughter when she was 3 days old, I didn't attend her funeral, I couldn't. Some can and get comfort from it, and some find it just too much, my not attending didn't mean I loved my daughter any less, I had already said my goodbyes to her, I couldn't see her taken for a second time. Please don't hold any anger towards your mother for her decision. Until you face losing a child yourself which I hope you never have to do, then you'll never understand, I'm sorry for you loss x

@@zigster2526 I’m sorry but you didn’t attend your own daughters funeral because of your feelings? Because you didn’t wanna get hurt again? Seems selfish. Funerals are to be respected not seen as an option idk where you were raised ma’am but that’s not how we do it out here.
@@ayleengonzalez4928 no you don’t have to attend a funeral. It actually is an option. Not everyone has the strength to see their loved ones be buried. and it doesn’t mean that you don’t respect the funeral itself. I‘m sure she even helped to plan the funeral but it’s a whole different thing to attend one. Plus she said, that she said her goodbyes to her daughter. And she’s actually the one who’ll always think about her daughter. A lot more than the people who attended her funeral.
I don’t wanna be rude but I find it a bit disrespectful to talk to someone (who actually lost her daughter) like that. Why do you want her to feel bad about not attending the funeral ? You have to respect other people’s choices!

A year ago, I walked down the aisle hand and hand with my father in his wheelchair to this song. It was the last time he left the house before passing away from cancer. I will treasure this song forever❤

I have heard this song only a few times but I think its beautiful and it reminds me of my late daughter linda Anne Twite who would have loved it sadly she passed away 19th july 2008 before she could hear it and I will hold this in my memory of her sing the songs she loved and she would have loved this one she was 28
