do you always have to dam up the water to have enough for the plants in the field? do you have irrigation for the fields? do you ever use a sealing material between the boards to trap more water. great video of the daily farm life on the knapp farm! have you ever use a pump and hose to water the plants from the ditch?
Not always I usually hold back a little water for the ducks but with how dry it is every little bit helps we don’t have irrigation but yes I will run a trash pump and flood across some of the really dry areas in the field sometimes
I speak cardnal & the male was saying the hippy is back & he thinks he is a beaver now. Whats this wourld coming to? The female said never trust a male with a long crest. Then he was like & that's why you single B. Then she was like well the long hair beaver builds a better nest then you do.
It’s interesting to see all these little jobs a farmer needs to do that I’d never imagine needed to be done. Yeah, seems like some vegetation and silt should seal up the small leaks over time.
Good job with the dam. Think that might be the ditch that me and Old Guy used to “swim” in !!
I will have to ask him about it back then there would have been a big tanker culvert there
Beautiful
Work never ends, keep farm alive
A good video to watch on a Sunday evening

Is that an old canal ditch? Almost looks like it.
Man made ditch from early 1900s but hasn’t been cleaned out in a few years

😂
if you put a strip of rubber between those boards youll be able to stop those leaks
Clean uot some that brush and a seat that would be a good little duck blind😂
We get a few off it every year got a couple holes we clear out and sit in mostly wood ducks but occasionally a mallard or teal will land
