As an Oregon State fan, give him time to be offered a bigger paycheck by another program and he’ll scoot off overnight like he did with OSU. He’s just there for the money. He showed his true colors last November. Don’t expect any loyalty from him. Yes, the PAC 12 was dissolving but that’s not an excuse to just disappear overnight and leave your team behind.
GG Michigan St. Nice to have you back at Autzen. You can't run or pass without a decent o-line though, stick with Coach Smith and ya'll will get there. Give him 2-3 years to build and develop the roster and he'll have you competing at a much higher, more consistent level.
All the respect for coach smith, as a duck fan, coach danning is a awesome coach himself. Both programs are only Moving forward and will be very good in the future. Spartan fans , u have a very good coach!!!
@@JoeMcgearywhy do you think that Ohio state hasn’t played a complete game similar to Oregon and you got dip shit Ryan day as your coach focus on Iowa before you have to step in Autzen😂
Go Green!! The first half of the season has been fun to watch the squad is competing and that is critical when building the foundation. I like what I have seen from Coach Smith he reminds me of Coach Dantonio and that was a joyful run!!
I like Jonathan Smith. He has a history of building a Program from ground zero which is close to where MSU is now. This will take time. He is level headed and doesn't get overly emotional which I really appreciate.
He’s always such a refreshing interview. Still think leaving the Beavers will be a mistake in the long term but I get it. Wishing him success. I’d have a lot of trust sending one of my kids to play for him. 🦆🦆
MSU has a shot against Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Rutgers. Those would all be solid wins. The improvement coaching wise is night and day from last year.
Don't listen to the haters in the comments. Coach smith raised a dead OSU to be a solid team that BEAT THE DUCKS. In a few years this game will be closer and more competitive.
Nobody has addressed why any college football player has to play a short week like the pros. The Spartans played and finished late Saturday night against OSU and then had to travel through 3 times zones on Thursday to play a game late Friday night just so TV could make money on another day! That's 3 practice days and little or no sleep. This will go on as long as money can be made. Certainly not an excuse why Oregon dominated, but just another factor to consider for 18 21 year old kids to look tired. and weak.
There is some dude behind you in section 32. I told her but he was a beaver fan and he only came because he is still really pissed off at you for leaving the beavers. happening to listen to him the whole game I say he still really mad
As a fan this team is disappointing. Way too many turnovers. Chiles is supposed to be good and talented but he aint that good with dumb mistakes he make.
Kid is 19 years old. He’s starting which he never did at Oregon State. Next year is the year to criticize. First year for smith, gotta give em 2-3 more years to get a steady group of recruits and pull from the portal to give us depth. This is a young MSU team.
I think it's gonna come down to who plays a cleaner game. I think OSU is better than us offensively. I think we're better than OSU on defense. I just hope it's a good game.
Both teams are super super good on both sides of the ball. Offensively I would say OSU has more weapons and skilled players, a lot of potential pro talent on that team. Oregon seems to have a balanced team all around and a very good line on both sides. I would give the edge to OSU just because there players are very talented but regardless should be close

A BYE week, 5 of 6 games in Michigan. Think of it as a new season.
You have yourself a good one in coach Smith, Sparty. He resurrected a dead Oregon State program and made it respectable. Give him time.
