Because it was one chair that you could maybe sell in our area for about $40. Or, take all the spindles, sell them to crafters for 3 to 4 times that much. So that leaves the seats. I agree with you, there is a way easier way to make the mushrooms. Funny thing about this online craft business - people buy weird things. The book "turning green wood" by Michael O'donnell will help you understand how to "read" treebranches. available 2hand cheap. Make your own spalted Birch by laying some pieces in moist garden soil for a few weeks, it will give a marble effect in the otherwise plain white birchwood. And I have to agree with you, nothing weirder on this planet as the human species.
@@WoodturningWithJohnMarro If you would make the same shape mushrooms from branches of trees ( maybe with a little bit of bark left on the widest part of the hood and all around the bottom) you will get a more appealing look on the finished product. And btw it is much less work.
