Lyrics:
late this morning i heard the rifles
bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao
late this morning i heard the rifles
and it is time for me to go
the fairest flower in all the mountains
bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao
the fairest flower in all the mountains
is the black rose that sets us free
we will join her and fight together
bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao
we will join her and fight together
or we will surely die alone
the winter's coming the snows are on us
bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao
the winter's coming the snows are on us
now we must build fires of our own
the hungry servants have stopped complaining
bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao
the hungry servants have stopped complaining
and all the masters wonder why
inside his castle the king is sleeping
bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao
inside his castle the king is sleeping
let us be sure he sleeps too long
a tattered banner as black as midnight
bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao
a tattered banner as black as midnight
can tell you where my love has gone
late this morning i heard the rifles
bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao
late this morning i heard the rifles
and it is time for me to go Видеоклипы
If Ciao, Bella is "Goodbye, Beautiful", then Bella Ciao would be a beautiful goodbye. I like it.
No, that'd be BellO Ciao as Ciao is a male word; As it is in the song, I'd translate it as "pretty lady, goodbye" or "sweetheart, goodbye"
Fish does not disappoint with her performance.
Best English version of Bella Ciao
Thank you, Ms. Fish!!
Great rendition...english language is very apt to this song !!!
Personally I prefer the Italian one, but I do prefer the originals most of the time.
@@CaptainUnreal ...I'm italian, but I never found the language of my country particularly apt to songs. About original versions of a song, I do not entirely agree with you...and talking about italian cover versions of famous foreign songs, I find, during the '60s, we did a good job...in my opinion, we often gave better renditions !!!...Just one example..."PREGHERO'" by Adriano Celentano, cover of Ben E.King's "STAND BY ME" .
@@CaptainUnreal I like both
Wonderful!
My sister's favorite. ;)
Nice
holy shit
Sounds like Robin Oye on mandolin.
I NEED TABS
I upload my attempt at a cover to my channel, if anyone else has a better composition of the song please upload it and lmk
