  • During the first seven years of Vlade Divac's career in the NBA, the versatile center was a valuable piece to the puzzle for the Los Angeles Lakers, as he could pass, scorer and defend, which is why the team got heated for trading him to the Charlotte Hornets for rookie Kobe Bryant in 1996.
    Although everything ultimately worked out for the Lakers with Bryant, Divac still went on to have a great career, especially during his time with the Sacramento Kings as a bitter rival of the Purple and Gold.

    If you look at the 1990 playoffs Vlade outplayed Hakeem. In 1991 Vlade gave Hakeem all he could handle. Lakers sent Houston home first round both years
