I love that you always show if it’s easy to use the ‘peel here’ or ‘open this tab’ etc. I don’t have arthritis, I have raynards so sometimes my fingers don’t work! It’s good to know you also even occasionally struggle 👍
Good Morning Gareth, Lovely Review. Sea Birds are Very Salty, also might explain the funny shape. 🤣🤣🤣. Anyway seems ok for £1.99 . I buy 900g of Chicken Wings for €2.99 and a 1.5 Kg bag of Chips in my local supermarket. I split them up into 3 bags 7 wings in each bag and freeze them , very handy as i live alone. Also as i am now 65 i use the scissors all the time less stress 😁😆😅🤣
@@BaldFoodieGuy Yeah it says sugar MSG on the ingredients, i use MSG but only in small quantities, should be called MSG and pepper seasoning. Did that say 39% MSG and sugar?? that's a lot lol. I think you have had your sugar and salt servings for a week with this one.
A great improvement on the last offering from Farmfoods.. great review Gaz... shame about the tab system though.. it beat you fair and square there mate..😂 🏴👍👍
My go-to for chicken wings are the Lidl frozen BBQ glazed rotisserie wings. They are very tasty. I haven't been to Iceland for months, since Lidl greatly expanded its frozen food section. Lidl now has a large number of frozen foods to choose from.
I constantly wonder how Farm Foods can sell at under £2 pounds with their suppliers having manufacturing costs and transportation costs and then Farm Foods adding their profit margin. I thought maybe that these were ‘loss leaders’ as many other food stores have but Farm Foods have so much other low cost foods too !!
Gas, I think the wings have been “lollipopped’, I.e. the drumette has had the meat scraped down to reveal the bone, giving you a handle for the chicken.
Chicken wings, never seen the point in them. But they look the meatiest wings ever, quite sure it could actually fly, a bit like a drone given it had four wings. As always, luv your sense of humour and reviews 👍🙂
Good review as usual Gareth.. There are certainly a lot more chips out of that one than on the previous one where the bin had to be used on the chicken
Hiya Gareth, £1.99.Thats not a bad price. From bag to plate a fair lunchtime meal. In my opinion. Chicken comes 2nd only to the pig. They both leave you with happy memories. Steam, bake, boil, grilled, roast, and Fried. They can be used for heaps Truely world wide cuisine. The three part chicken wing. The flat, two bones. The legette (small drumstick) The tip. Bones and skin. (stock pot fodder) the ingredients looked fine when cooked. Fair portion of crinkle chips. Maybe one more bit of chicken could be added. But £1.99🐔🍟🍗value for money. 😊Handy freezer stand by, lunch or teatime. Side note. My late mother, could take down a bucket full of sticky wings, on a Saturday afternoon watching the old-fashioned B&W Movies on the television. A good find, but sometimes Farm Foods can be hit or miss. This occasion is definitely a HIT. Catch up with you in the next video Allan&Family
Looks like you enjoyed this product Gareth i was thinking about the chicken wings they looked a bit deformed its was hard to see the actual size of them but not to shabby 😁 must put them on the shopping list for tomorrow morning 😎
You could buy a big pack of fresh chicken wings and freeze half, and then make some nice fresh chips from a bag of spuds, take you 15 to 20 mins in the airfryer.. Probably wouldn't cost you much more, but good and natural without any additives.
There drumettes and not your standard chicken wings. Drumettes resemble smaller versions of the drumsticks from the chicken legs. Chicken drums are the uppermost parts of the chicken wing, and while they can contain more meat overall, they also feature large amounts of cartilage around the joint ends.
Afternoon Gareth on salt and pepper wings chicken and chips. They look ok funny shape wings but glad you enjoyed them after the chicken you had a while ago which was unedible! Not bad for £1.99 Do love a crinkle chip taste so much better than a straight chip Thank you for the vlog really enjoyed it Sue
I hate it when they show a picture of stuff that isn't there like all the veg. Like the old days when you bought cereal and it had all the fruit in the picture and there was no fruit in it. At least now they actually have the dried fruit on the picture....
I would laugh my head off if “Alexander the guest”that’s his RUclips channel came to your house for a meal eating that nosh, that would be hell for him 🤣
Is it possible to do a chip comparrison? I just bought Barlett crinkle chips, they were like thin chips that had been crinkled, awful. The wastage of chips is terrible, even so called fat cut fries , half the bag you need a magnifying glass to see them.
Hi Gareth, For £2 not bad, that's the thing with chicken on the bone you don't know if it's going to be meat or cartilage, hope you enjoy. Catch you soon take care
Good value for money the jerk chicken we get on holiday certainly has crispy skin is more like pork scratches some times but the holl chicken we get from Costco wich is done in a spit oven has soft skin but it does test good
I think the chicken wings you're used to are the bit from the elbow of the wing down. These are the portion from the shoulder to the elbow if you know what I mean. Looked tasty but if too salty maybe next time run them under a cold water tap for a few seconds to remove the excess salt before cooking.
I went to farm foods last year and bought a bag of farm foods own buffalo wings when I went to cook them I noticed a lot of the wings were green They went straight in the bin I emailed the company and informed them about it and was sent a £10 voucher I still have the voucher as I will never shop in farm foods again
I wouldn't buy them i suspect they may be a reformed splodge stuck on bone , But I'm not sure' Last week i went to Waitrose and looked at the deli counter where you can buy slices of roast " turkey" and it was definately a big splat of reformed stuff maybe a better quality reformed part but nethertheless splodge a £5iver for a kid ,she could not handle a knife to cut and bludgeon a few slices off and i still can't find cans of cod roe like the localchip oil does . thanks for the video
@@annother3350 My mother born in 1930 called it " mock chicken" .Sainsbury Southend used to have an actual roast turkey on the deli counter until they got rid of the counter in 2020 ( you could buy the off cuts cheap) and wrapped everything up because they are against packaging and waste and charge 6 bob for a bag.
Great video as always…but…if ever you see “flavourings “ is usually MSG nowt wrong with that..I use it all the time…it’s just so many people don’t realise it’s in your food…perfect example is “Quavers “ without MSG Would be flavour free 😅
Ye my salt allowance for the day but they look decent for the price given what prices are now I reckon the plate could have had something extra mind, a sauce, a veg or something, For anyone single with an airfryer (and some scissors) its a good little freezer item. But l like crispy chips too got to be a little crispy.
There's a little B&M near me but it's not like the big ones, it's full of freezers, some proper random stuff in there that looks good - might be worth a go Gaz? I haven't tried much personally as I don't have much freezer space.
It both looked & seemed to taste better than I expected. I know its a very cheap cut of meat but at least its not reformed meat paste from Chicken arses squirted into a nugget shapes. Seems with Farmfoods if its not on the bone then its fit for the bin.
Not bad for £2 imo. Chicken and chips, nothing fancy to poison you 😂 My grandad used to tell us stories about Peter and Paul the 2 little dickie birds. You’re prob loving the seasoning because of the msg Gaz… you can’t beat it tbh.

Have a great weekend Gaz, not got a Farmfoods near me cheers for the review though mate ….Smithy
You're lucky, Farmfoods is absolutely dire. Iceland is far better.
Sounds great over salted food, soggy chips and bits of cartilage. Thinks it’s time for an M&S review again to remind you what food should be like!!
As i'll give you a clue, it contains at least one joint.. thus contains cartliage.. Like any wing.
I’m 100% certain Gaz this isn’t food and should not be consumed 😂🤦
I agree with you.🤮
@ Crazy that one was
Ok so what is it mr 100%
Love your food vlogs you are a brave man . Can’t wait till, the next one. Have a lovely, weekend.❤

I wonder if there is a Farm foods near me
I discovered Food Warehouse, which I was shocked to learn was Iceland
We are all being conned 😮
Hopefully not
I did wonder why some of the produce had Iceland written on them!
Thanks for another honest review 💜💜💜
You're welcome 😊
The part of the wing used is the drumette. One big bone instead of the two in the wingette (flat).
Thank you

@PaoloBanke Best part of video. Bit of thigh on wing. Not Good on Antony he says. Who would of thought LOL. Great vid as as usual.
Are you sure the workers didn’t pinch some of the chicken wings for themselves when they were packing this?

Wings are dirt cheap. There was nothing particularly bad or corner cutting except the MSG

Easy, they are either under paying the farmers or the government is subsidizing them.
