I am playing a sorcerer and I will probably have to quit, my class has been the biggest joke for so many years. Now EVERY class can do insane amount of dps, even true tanks that take no dmg, can deliver an insane amount of dps so they are not really tanks, they are tanks+dps in one class. Sorcerer has absolutely no defenses, nothing, and the dmg of a sorc is so weak next to all other classes because we need to cast most spells and in parallel to the no defenses we simply die in 1~2 seconds. Least amount of HP, least defenses, least survivability, if anything they should either give sorcerer the ability to kill everyone in 1~2 seconds (just like the time we die) or boost survivability, or make all skills instant like all others classes have. Every game so far, the sorcerer is the damage dealer, in Aion ervery class is a damage dealer but they also keep their main purpose which is tanking, debuffing, hybrid, healing etc... what does the sorc have that other classes don't already have?
I think sorc, like ranger, has it's own unique signature for MMO players. Ncsoft did not do a good job in keeping it as good as other classes. I feel like a full gear sorc is still funny to play, but with the same money spent on another class you'd be more successful.
@@Nukedw They just kept increasing every class since their creation, every class got a boost in dps even though their class was never supposed to be a dps one. But sorc got nothing, not even a boost in dps when we are supposed to be the true dps class.
Ehm.. sorcerer is really fine. The only problem is ur skill, as it looks like. Pvps of sorc in vid were awful, absolutely zero knowledge of dueling part.. stop saying that sorc is weakest, im doing as fine as i was doing before against everyone.
think you should make 2 completly different tiers for group and solo pvp, as for example you placed sin in tier A and gunner in tier S, while in 1v1 (esp arenas) both are S rank and in group pvp none of them is S tier or even close to that. meanwhile AT is A++ tier in 1v1 pvp and S in group pvp so its hard to see it missing the S tier XD
Solid list overall, I agree for the most part. It's nice to see that you did your research on class changes and considered each class from the whole picture. Most players would probably just rank whatever class they get rekt by at the highest if asked to make a class tier list but you actually took the time to look into skill changes and see how strong that makes them in both group pvp and 1v1 overall, so good job! Also I'd say that the biggest reason sorcs deserve to be at the bottom of the list is that their cooldowns are ridiculously long compared to every other class. This makes playing sorc in any form of pvp except full CD 1v1 duels unreasonably difficult. In continuous fights such as 1v1/3v3 arenas or group pvp instances their sustainable pvp damage and CC capabilities are inferior to other choices. You have to be very precise on your CCs/burst skills or else you end up wasting them and having to wait a while to use them again. Meanwhile the SM xxgoodplayer69xx feared you and your entire group 2-3 times by the time you could get another sleep storm/vision sleep off. There's no reason to even take a sorc with you when a SM does everything a sorc does but better and on much lower intervals.
@@JuanManuel-ni9ct if you buff its dmg too much it goes back to a simple cover silence class + full dmg spells. I think they need to implement a new interesting CC skill or improved sleeping storm
I'm a little not agreed. Gladiator for me now is stronger than ever before (6y main). Ofc I don't talk about sup set times and beginning of 6.0 (bers combo). And as a sorcer player (twin) not expected to see it as C rank. About painter, yep he is over easy, guess it the best class if u don't have time to play much. For me it's just boring, most easiest class I ever played. Though rerol for it before patch, but when tryed, change my mind.
If you like the single target build for glad it's in a good spot :) but I think other chars do better at single target dmg and aoe dmg, also temp has better defences, that's why I could not put Glad higher
I play glad since 3.5, and not agreed with you. Now its totaly useless in PVE, only bard and chanter do less dmg (and you need waeving too for this shit dmg). In solo pvp its not so good too.. If you dont kill your enemy in 2-3 sec mostly you die... all class have a lot escape skill and a lot cc skill... u cant reach them again if they dont die in first sec-s. I enjoy it now only in group pvp-s. BUT! I agreed with your sorc friend, it still op..
Great video!!! So I have a question, I only play a glad and a Sin, so my glad has a lot less buffs then what my Sin has. My question is do you feel like a Sin is only good while its buffs are active? And then they wear off it's near useless? I feel like my glad is more useful then my Sin is after the Sins buffs run out.
Aaah, thanks for the reply!! So when playing a Sin do you spam all buffs before making an attack or how do you decide when the right time is to use a buff on a sin?
I'd say painter is S+. The damage from daevanion laser is absurd. You don't have to pick manastones. Just go full phys. attack and you will be fine, cuz a lot of skills include pvp and crit multipliers. You don't have to buy and enchant three weapons up to +15 (as gunner, for example).
One good point you mentioned is that many painter skills have a hidden 2x crit multiplier. I still recommed a bit of crit with manastones. Maybe painter is the op n.1 class of this patch!

It's not a moba. If the tier list is right, it must be heartbreaking for a full gear sorcerer's who spent money and time, to get stomped by an overpowered class - which is simply not fair.
This is just for fun, something I tried to adapt from fighting games. But still, welcome to this game. Yes, if you scroll down many other people pointed out the weakness of a Sorc.

Decent position in terms of population and gear progression. It's a game that has found its niche, I suppose. The publishers do not really do their best with the shop (overpriced items, esp in aion Eu). Some mechanics are difficult for new players, like the Transformation system.
Nice video :). I dont agree with everything said, but ofc its your opinion and therefor you recieve a like. Imo, its too soon to reach proper conclusion. Most of the people are still with T1 gear, so you will get a nice blend of impressions between previous patch and current one. Once most of the people are on T2 i think you can reach better conclusion since you will be able to apreciate better how the gear escalates to each class. Also, i believe this is the patch where many people will start to get Kaizinel. Imo the game is more (un)-balanced with Kaizinel in mind. That is a game changer for many classes. Everything becomes diferent once most people have kaizinel. For now i guess your correct on most of your conclusions, i think it would be interesting for you to make a video maybe in a few months where you can better analyse how this patch and these factors affected each class. keep it up
Aion Class Tier : Just play Painter also did you forget that bards have Aoe airbind every *16* Seconds ? + they cant be even silenced xD also i dont know what is that with sm not having Strong burst on notaion all that it requires is 1 fear and you are dead
The Aether hold by Bard is a good tool to bait remove shock, but it does not combo very well with the entire kit like other classes... it's ok to have, but not op like painter AH
u are very wrong about bard AND IT MADE ME RAGE WHEN U SAID ITS USELESS first of all,idk what server u play but bard is a must in 6v6/dred,cleric can heal and dispel better yes,but what can u do if u are stunned/focused as a cler,will u be able to cleanse debuffs from ur teams or ripple-remove fears/sleep like bard?nop,true in 7.0 they made the vision support useless,so we only have clearing melody to ripple fear/sleep,etc and as for 1v1,u can win all classes because of the "3shot combo,pony+dish,ofc u will need to have wind harmony and debuff target with bees and dolphin before u actually do 3shot"
With a slight tweak in stigmas, deava skills and build you can nearly reach sin'/painter burst while still having the fastest cover in the game. Its not weak by any means.

Vandal is insanely broken, I think NCSoft will have to balance it in the upcoming patches.
they are tuning the dmg on lasers down, so the gameplay changes a bit
Pet in this patch are very strong in pvp 1VS1, Magma buffed can melt you with his full rotation if the sm use Fallusha Set
