Pyro was always my fear at a wwe house show or live event. Everytime I went I was so scared of it as a kid. It was like the loudest thing ive ever heard. Its like a big thud to your ear. Its also painful and loud.

I agree, I cant put my finger on it, but something's different with the pyro these days. I think it might be partly an artistic issue, as it doesn't have the "character" that it used to have back then. I also don't think they use their old pyro company Zenith anymore.
I also got to witness edges last tlc match in houston texas at tlc 2010 (same city as the royal rumble 2020) edges last match at WM27 before his return. I couldn't believe its been 9 years since the last time I saw him wrestle live!
The last Raw taping I attended was in 2016 and AJ Styles pyro was hands down the loudest that night even though I was expecting it. It was literally a sudden pop and louder than I intended it to have been and it caught everyone by the stage seats where I sat by off-guard.
The arena in Austin Texas is weird if you watch that smackdown August 17th, 2012 if you look behind the commentators there is only like one row of floor seats behind them and then it goes straight to the riser seats, because of that the set is moved up closer to the ring making the view so horrible!
People count concussions as Pyro and those go off during those Entrances which are pretty loud, the actual sparks you see on the set are soundless but the concussion behind the set makes the sound. If you look at my Wrestlemania 34 Brock Lesnar entrance when the ring Pyro goes off you see me turn to the set and see smoke there because that's where the loud bang went off.

@@AustinDickerson2001Tiger Salute shells are the equivalent to concussion, it acts the same way. A salute shell gives a loud boom and a flash of light. Concussion pot blasts, the thing that WWE uses for their boom are the same way, giving a loud boom and a flash of light. It's considered pyro.

RE4-tuber , still now I don’t understand how it works especially the pyro of AJ and the ones from the Raw And SD set because they came from a screen and land through the floor or another screen for me it’s too much for my brain 😂😂 Now I don’t know why but I think that it can be dangerous because the people are too close from the pyro and because of the noise BUT ITS COOL 😂 . And with the arena I understand that they stop using them because it cost too much

I remember I went to an event in 2010 in Corpus and the NXT pyro was so loud and made so much smoke in that tiny American bank center arena that the fire alarms went off!
Hate to break it to everyone but it’s ALL THE SAME LOUDNESS!!! Each cue is tied to a percussion bomb in sync…Pyro is actually silent and sounds like a fart. Watch AEW for the comparison of no percussion. The difference in volume all depends on the building size and empty space in it for sound to reverberate…this headline is just flat out dumb 🤦🏻♂️
Its just a concussion that goes off behind the set. All Pyro doesn't really make a loud bang, its the concussions behind the set that go off with the Pyro that make the bang

@@bellum128 before 2009 the pyro had more powder to it and was overall more thicker, ever since 2009 it's been a bit more smoke then actual pyro!

They are something truly amazing too see live! I was so said going to SD in 2017, and every event in 2018 except wm34 and they had no Pyro!
