I'm just in the middle of building my first proper range at home.

How did you secure the targets from the back? Threaded lag-bolt? What size? How many? Would you use the same hole each time you removed them?

Great question!!! Why didnt I show that??? 😳
the planks are 2 by 4 inches (5cm times 10cm) so they are built to last. I just screw 7 inch (18 cm) long screws straight thru the bord 5 in each loground. We have done this in our outdoor range for over two years with no problems. 😇

@@soulthrower that sounds like it might be too difficult to take the rounds off each time it is transported, but a good way to secure them. I will use the same. Thanks

@@soulthrower this is what i want to learn because my logrounds are not as thick as the ones you are using, and i don't want to hit a screw with a knife, and then damage the knife. Yes! Greeat video, and please do make an extra for us demonstrating the fine art and science of attaching log rounds ~ :) much thanks

@@08020802yt the opposite actually. It is super easy to put them up and to remove them. Takes less then 5 min. 😊🤙

@@mandys1505 It is really easy since I just use ordinary screws and screw them thru the backboard and in to the logrounds. If the log rounds are thinner I just use shorter screws so that the knives or axes doesnt hit them. We used 5 screws on each round that is kind of overkill. 😅🤙

    Thanks Marcus for sharing.
Which would be the best way to get logrounds ? (I suppose it will depend in which country you're living. Personnaly i'm in France)

I am sorry for not replying sooner... just found the comment. :(
Here in Sweden we use pine. In most countries they use cottonwood or poplar... but to get logrounds is hard but here in sweden we talk to people that own forrests. 😊🤙
