They're headed to the one person staff soon, I believe. What did Sri Lanka do to deserve a cutting of the allowance to use nitrogen based fertilizer on their crops? It's said that 60 percent of crops in Sri Lanka after that "ruling" were halted immediately. Productive output in total. Now, it's been made public the plan by WEF to halt directly all rice production. Isn't it 4 billion people that rely on rice daily for food or to earn a living? The Deep State Satanic Marxists are VERY anxious to have all the choices of others children in mind as a smorgasbord, so it seems. It's all growing so tiresome .

It is because it’s more developed in terms of infrastructure than rest of the neighbouring countries and also people are educated(94% literacy)except for the politicians..So yeah..

Education, health, HDI, and most world rankings are far ahead of all the South Asian countries and many European, Latin American, and affrican countries. Infrastructure
Development is far superior than other South Asian countries .
That's why you see different than other places.

Most of the planning and implementation and polisees taken by the various governments are correct. Unfortunately, left oriented political parties are spreading false rumours and not take many decisions at the correct time
They always agree. Anything after 25 years . The citizens also expect the government to give everything free of charge or subsidise. Ex for farmers land free
Water system free, seeds free, fertiliser free, after harvest they expect government to purchase their products.
Even education free,
School free, books free, uniform free,.
At the university level
Education totally free.
Pocket money free,(mahapolo ,bursary, and other various scols, with funding, )all free after obtaining degrees, they expect government to give them white coller jobs with pension schemes.
That's the very reason Sri Lanka is facing an economic crisis.
Even health sector is everything free.
Electricity unit produce at 96 rs and sell at 35 rs fuel gas everything subsidise all these years including food products
Any fool with a little knowledge will understand why this country facing financial crisis. 🤔

I've been to this spot a couple of times, always full of crowds before covid but I visit my nearest Mc Donald at Ratmalana, the outskirts of Colombo, it's also a nice and big place with plenty of parking lots.👍

Super series, Chris, and you should come again to Sri Lanka. On another note in Sri Lanka, we don't give away half eaten food, and it's considered rude. I'm sure you've done it out of the goodness of your heart, but try to keep that in mind.
I didn't see what actually happened to the remaining food but I am shocked if he did pass it on to somebody else.
He should have taken samples of each dish onto another plate instead of putting his fork from his mouth back into the food.

Just for context, my parents are from Sri Lanka. I was born in Germany and then raised in Canada. Anyway, I went to Sri Lanka to visit back in 1992. I stayed for about 2 months… I was only 12 back then… not the greatest of experiences… mosquitoes chased me night after night for 2 months… new bumps every morning. I was literally home sick by the end of it. I don’t remember which airport ( it was either the Sri Lankan airport or the Singaporean airport), but on the way home, I was exploring the airport… imagine stumbling on a McDonalds… I ran back and showed my parents and the other family that came with… the best way to describe it is… for 2 months, we had home cooked Sri Lankan meals… I’m not ungrateful… but it’s like 2 months of dieting, then finally getting a cheat day.

I’m not a fan of McDonald’s but their marketing around the world is top notch. In Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 McDonald’s sells two local items on their menu that have made it a hit with everyone. One of them is Mangu which is a local dish made up of mashed plantains and the other is a wrap called Mac Chimi. Short for chimichurri sándwich which is a local Dominican seasoned beef pattie sandwich. Both very delicious.

The McRice is my favourite. Not too sure about the curry n rice but my GCEs were made special thanks to that mcrice. Literally grew up on that back when it was cheap lol.

Try street burger at Mount Lavinia , it is not a street vender but a actual restaurent.(The best burgers in the country!) Also, we have Mcdonalds, KFC, popeyes, burger king, etc in Srilanka but Dominoes is not available every where. the most common one is Pizza hut.

We normally forego the spoon and fork if eating curry rice and mix with the hand. Too hard to mix otherwise. Plus McChicken is just awkward with a knife and fork.
