LG washer. extreme sound and smoke

Over the weekend my washer sounded like a plane taking off then there was lots of smoke. At a.i. direction I put in a service call. The tech came ran a quick cycle and deemed it repaired
Time for a recall
The unit is old. 12 years but that's why I carry a service warranty

So far diagnosis is broken spider arm and maybe other repairs needed
