I have an iMac 27" late 2015 and I'm thinking of upgrading it just wondering what's the best CPU and NVME SSD for it. CPU: i7 6700k? & NVME: Samsung 990 Pro?
Why on earth did you remove the screen with the iMac standing up? It's just an unnecessary risk for no reason of the display slipping and dropping or ripping the display cable. Please anyone doing this lay it flat or put a wedge in between the stand to keep it facing upward!
I did indeed make the LinusTechTips error when doing this, I think a wedge would be the best option as laying it on its back would likely have a similar issue as having it standing up. Unless something was propping it up so its level. :)
頑張ってください!!!

How about upgrading to MacOS Sonoma?
What i7 is suitable ?
Does the imac have an NVME slot i had no idea
it has a apple introduced type I forget what it's called. But it can be adapted to NVME and is pretty fast too!
@@reginaldbowls7180 thank you so much
So why didn't you replace the old hard drive with a SSD?
HD runs the OS I think and he might have had no way to load the OS onto the SSD
probably because the hard drive on these models causes the fan to run at full speed without a special adapter
probably because its a fusion drive and after adding 1TB of nvme is there any point
I already have the 4 GHz i7 on mine, but I wish there was a way to use this old thing as a monitor for a modern Mac Mini.
This old thing still works like a charm 9 years later. All thou it may sound like an aeroplane trying to take off at times :)
i thought there was, i'm sure i've heard of people doing it. maybe it's another model
10 year old cpu? How much did u pay for it
??
