Here's a thought: If you were to hack the game and give yourself the L Emblem before Chapter 4, will Doopliss still change to match Luigi and Waluigi colors? Most likely the answer is no for obvious reasons, but who knows. If it did work for some reason, then I wonder if the Gold Medal would also work.
I hope this game sells well so that we can have new paper mario games that can live up to their full potential. Make the developers know we want stuff like this.
Whenever you do another playthrough, you should read the hint dialogue for various parts of the Palace of Shadows. That part you said tube mode is the intended route, Yoshi actually says he can get you across. Flurry also does speak in one of the riddle rooms, but I don't know why she didn't for you. Maybe you had to be further to the right of the wind panel.
You have to read the plaque first for the necessary partner to give the hint. Fatguy didn't, so the hint was just "we should read that sign" Since otherwise Mario and Co don't know what the puzzle actually is
I ended with Vivian punching her right in the face, as I did with Beldam, to spite both showing Vivian's independence and freedom from both as a strong, kind, and loving beautiful woman. But it's also just ironic that the queen dies once again by the hand of her own creation, her daughter if you will meant for nothing more than to further her mother's ambitions, and is forever lost to time thanks to said daughter and her friends.
I'm very disappointed that the Doopliss+Shadow fight uses the same boss theme. This game was doing so well adding new songs to almost every cutscene and rematch, but didn't bother with the one fight that would be perfect for a crossover theme
Plane game goes even farther. After the 2X, there is another section with a few +10's. Once you get to 700 there are no more spaces, but there are a couple more markers and the number of piantas you win keep going up. After that there is a wall. That's how it is in the GameCube version anyway, and I doubt it's been changed.
If you wanted to, you could actually do the pit of 100 trials BEFORE you fight Hooktail. You just need the first 2 “curses” to reach the entrance. Anyway, now that you’ve beaten the game, you can return to the X-Naut fortress. Did you know TEC has some interesting dialogue if you talk to her in the postgame?
spoiler warning for those who havent watched the full stream and dont know about "the pit thing" its kinda unfortunate that the whacka fight is hidden behind... essentially knowing the whacka fight exists, theres no way to NOT spoil it without just giving it away
Ive gotten fog on the enemy side a few times, but not much I had it appear on both sides at the same time once or twice Just had it happen on Bonetail last night LMAO I wish the other 64 partners were here in the remake, if only to see their new expressions and voices. Cause Bow is so much cuter now
I dislike the newer games for their gameplay but for me the story and characters matter more...and every game after SPM has heavily lacked in this department. The whole game is about paper gimmicks rather than a story. Theres other issues but overall its mostly the lack of unique story and characters + broken tedious gameplay
final thoughts, Very nice remake and everything works just fine. Complaints though: It needs a patch or 2 to fix wrong text, oddities that are clearly not intended and partner moves that work the way they currently do some of which are still wrong. Couldn't hurt to make certain party members a little worse and better though.
As there are no new mario and luigi games. They have no reason do not do any rpgs anymore. But i fear paper mario never will return to the rpg formular. As much good miyamoto did for the industrie. I not think he will move away from his believes to keep paper mario the style it is now. I rather see them teaming up with square again doing a mario rpg 2
@@ovite1240 My point is that Miyamoto has next to no relation as to why the series quality dropped like an anvil. If anything he should've had MORE of an active role with Sticker Star. Now franchises outside of Mario, that's a different story.
@ovite1240 "Not him either. People just want a scapegoat to blame. The problem goes much deeper than just a single person." So Kingdom Hearts, basically?
I never played the original, but I've heard the soundtrack and this final boss music SUCKS compared to the original. Like why did they make it sound like Original King. The music was fine the way it was.
I personally think it was an upgrade and higher quality, and the end part of the final boss theme was especially an epic addition to the track. The vocals and violins really added and made the queen feel like a higher entity, and the improved design and hand animations taking over the sky really conveyed the queen in a scarier way then ever before, but I do love the og song to so you're not wrong on it being a good one 😃
Yes, I can confirm that Doopliss will have the W Emblem in Chapter 4 if you have it equipped.
It goes further than that! The NPCs that mention Mario's apparence will also acknowledge that he's wearing yellow and pink instead of red and blue!
@@Hugonche29 Cool
Also Mario sfx badge will be mimic by doopliss

make sure he goes to the moon after postgame to see what TEC says, there is some neat dialog.

@@OriginalGameteer Ah that makes sense, thanks for the clarification.
I killed SQ with a 15 damage supernova. Just felt right to finish her off with a crystal star attack.
I should do the same, but use Earth Tremor or that. I wanna end it, but be reminded of where I began.
I'm going to use the most epic finisher of all next time I beat her...

And that sucks because I've always despised the Shadow Siren battle theme.
@@thundrr1929 really? It's one of the best!
im pretty sure its literally the only reused boss theme in the entire game, even that random dry bones has his own theme LOL
Who cares? I love modern new Shadow siren theme, they don't have to ruin it,
