I myself do enjoy your short videos, I also like your longer videos. For me, as long as you keep being authentic and humble and bien chidos, any format works. Un abrazo ❤️
I volunteered a few times when I was traveling to Mazatlan with a local organization that went into the poor colonias and to the dump where people 'worked' sifting through garbage. It was the most humbling experience to be standing amongst cardboard homes in the dirt and know THIS is what someone called home. It really opened my eyes to the divide of the poor and the .. making ends meet folk. Seeing how people with nothing were so full of joy, and how much my simple bringing of fresh water brought light to their life is something I can never forget.. It very much made me appreciate what I have, and to be more mindful of it. Very much a have less, do more experience! ((and speaking of which - I miss your spiel of "ring the bell to be notified... EVERYTIME" at the end of the videos. Bring back the classic lol.))
35 years ago I made a wrong turn in a rental car somewhere around Ensenada and ended up lost in some hillside village in a rainstorm. Saw people living in appliance boxes with plastic sheeting for a roof. The dirt road through town ended at a steep cliff with water and garbage was pouring over. Down below were dozens of kids and grandmas picking through giant piles of garbage in the heavy rain. Left an indelible impression on a 19 year old spring break college kid looking for beach party.
Awwww! Cutest kitten ever! Keep it Hillary ♥️☺️ BTW I am reading so many comments of the short and abrupt cut off endings and I have to say that personally I love your videos now more than before and love the cut off endings because it feels more real, more natural vs your previous videos that seemed too scripted. In the spirit of not getting into the perfectionism and not getting into the feeling that what you do is never good enough... Lets just say I think you guys are doing awesome ☺️☺️👌
Gotta be honest. I’ve always loved you guys and your videos but these short and abruptly cut off videos are just not the same as your previous vlogs. Always loved wandering the neighborhoods of Puerto Vallarta with you guys and really hope you’ll go back to your previous format.
Sorry guys, the short video and the chopped off ending feels rude and unsatisfactory. It’s not a good experience for viewed. I hope you are experimenting and are open to feed back.
You guys should be happy that they are still making videos for us. You have to understand that there is not much they can do with the pandemic going on and Greg having a broken foot. I thought this video was great.👍
Punta de Mita is incredibly beautiful, and with so many activities to enjoy, you may never want to leave. However, the nearby towns are well worth exploring too, full of interesting restaurants, beautiful shops, and local culture.
I appreciate this video on Punta Mita. 🇲🇽 I’m currently in the process of trying to pick a destination to visit and this opened up my eyes to the various sides to the town.
I am Mexican American. And though I have been to some places in Mexico, Cabo, Acapulco, Cozumel, etc. I am seeing the other rich parts of Mexico, as its so diverse, and the food is great. Thank you for your videos, very informative and inspiring. God bless.
@the 3 minute mark, you're walking in front of my place. 🥳👍🇲🇽✌️ I was home, up on my terraced smoking weed and watching ya.... My buddy in NC sent me this video this morning and I immediately remembered! Lol And OMG the bus stop was NOT three miles away! Lol.... It is literally one block up the hill, across from the white church, on the corner of the futbol field.
Thank you for sharing. I just was looking at the Four Seasons in Punta Mita and it looked so sterile and contrived. I appreciate luxury but with culture and character. Would like to stay at Casa Kimberly with its wonderful history and character.
The grounds are really nice but the buildings look like a Ramada Inn and the rooms are in need of an update and they aren’t very Four Seasons looking. They also have few lounge chairs available on the beach and people fight over them. If you want to reserve one, you have to arrive early in the morning and tip the attendants very well.
I like the subtle way you asked for a comp night or two at the $1,000/night resort. Always nice to know how the other half lives, if only for a day. Saludos mis Kennons! 😀
Once can learned a lot watching your videos! I didn't even know where that is. I had to Google it. Watching your videos is like hanging out with the cool friends you've kept since high school. There's so much familiarity. Whatever happened to your leg. I hope you recover quickly. You were never able to keep up with Hilary anyway! (j/k). Great adventures!
I loved your short but astute video with the realization that both the rich and poor enjoy the same sunset. I had a similar epiphany during my three month stay at Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres years ago swimming at this beautiful beach and enjoying numerous sunsets. I also came to the conclusion that my multi-millionaire real estate developer friend wouldn't have had an enjoyable stay where I was in paradise because we wouldn't have the same "power" that he enjoys when he stays at the fancy resorts in Mexico. No one would know that he's rich. My theory is that's largely WHY the wealthy class like the $1000 dollar and up resorts - its a status symbol. The irony as you alluded too is it's much more fun to be with the locals and frankly eating better food and experiencing the culture - the rich, gilded world is boring and the food is average at best - but they can be comfortable knowing that their neighbor could afford the $1000 a night rate. And sadly, that's sort of the point.
I’ve been to FSPM dozens of times and it’s actually closer to $1,500-$2,000 if you want a good view and Beachfront is $2,500-$4,000 per night in season. Beautiful views but a bit run down and often too many families with children. Sorry but the last thing I want to hear on vacation is someone’s screaming kid.
Love your videos guys, thanks for showing everything about my country. Heads up, beaches, all around Mexico, are being reinforced by the government to remain public. It is, it was and it will stay in our constitution that the whole Mexican coast line is, and it will stay, open to the public to enjoy those sunsets no matter what or who. Report any abuse by anyone. Yes, that includes Mr Gates. You are not trespassing any beach and anybody who tells you otherwise is subject to be punished by law. Have fun guys!
Have spent a month in Punta de Mita for 2yrs in a row. Prefer the friendly locals anyday over the rich side. If you could have walked to the end of the main road as opposed to climbing the boat ramp you would have come to the long stretch of white sand beach. I have beachcomber for miles with my family. There are caves & sand rocks ....my favourite beach so far.
Just a point of interest, the area is called Punta de Mita, the town is called El Anclote, and Punta Mita was a development by a California guy who "hoodwinked" the locals into getting control of the property to develop Punta Mita, including the golf courses, the FOUR SEASONS hotel and all the highend houses and condos. They walled-offed the area to the locals out. Shameful. It is a beautiful place, but I am with you guys, I prefer the El Anclote.
Developed gated Punta Mita was originally a small fishing village called Corral del Risco. Villagers were forced to relocate to Nuevo Corral del Risco (Punta de Mita). Held at gunpoint while homes were destroyed. Several men were violently imprisoned. Much more devastation and history of the area.
Y'all kept saying $1,000 a night and I'm like, "really? No way that's a steal" Then I saw it's a 2 year old video. Today the prices are over $4,000 per night
Since there are NO PRIVATE BEACHES allowed in Mexico, how does the Four Seasons at Punta Mita comply with maintaining an access to the beach through their property?

0:33 That "Hola! Buenos dias" sounded very native Hilary! It was pretty funny too...

“Punta de Mita” is the town, “Punta Mita” is the gated resort area.
Exactly
Correcto!!!

Just bought a beautiful home in PUNTA MITA not punta de mita :)

Villas and hotel rooms for the 1% can't match being in contact with the real culture, people, food, buildings etc of a paradise like Puerto Vallarta!
Nicely said 😍

They are probably fighting and don't talk. So they just cut off the video. I was just in such a type of off and on relationship. I can relate.
