  • To my mind, these two elevators are very nice for a subway station. They could be considered express elevators as they go down from street level directly to the platform, without any intermediate stops. Also, they are pretty fast. An unusual detail is that the shaft is lit up by blue neon lights when the elevator is called. As the elevator arrives, the shaft lights turn red bit by bit. Watch the video to see the lights in action. These lifts also have the "call accepted" buzzer, which I find rather annoying, but seems to be fairly common in Hamburg's subway station elevators.
