  • Here's a Simplex mechanical bell inside a classroom. This mechanical bell doesn't work anymore. This was used in the old bell/clock system. I'm not sure for the model number on this mechanical bell. There's also a few more mechanical bells inside the other classrooms and some in the hallways. I couldn't get a view shot of the Rauland telecenter speaker due to people starring at the board and chatting. Music is played on the hallways of the other Rauland telecenter speakers which u can here in the background. That's all I have to say. Enjoy this video.

That's a Simplex 2901-9067. My middle school had one in the wood shop room and one in the large computer lab. This is because that part of the school had to be repaired in the late 1980s after a fire. The rest of the school had the original 6" Edwards Adaptabels and single-stroke chimes from when the building was built in 1957, along with the original Gamewell fire alarm system with flush-mount Federal Signal explosionproof horns. When I attended the school in the early 2000s, they had a Simplex 2350 master clock from the 1980s controlling the bells and chimes; now they use an American Time and Signal AllSync master clock.
