Thx again for two more great videos! And thx for it being hand building too. No wheel at home ☹️ I also liked the chickens AND your cute little intro tune. I have been watching so many of your videos that I find myself humming it during the day 😂
Thanks for this! I plan to try this tomorrow. You are a great teacher. I love how you give concrete ideas but also leave it open for expression. PS. I also kinda liked the chickens. :-)
Dear Karan, Thank you so much for this. I’m not an experienced potter but I started sever years back but then I took a long break due to severe health (Crohns and some other fun things) and my daughter almost 2 years ago who is truly the light in my heart. 💖 I’ve had a truly horrible and challenging day which has caused insomnia. I’m actually spending time organizing my art tornado 🌪 room because I *need* art back in my life. Pottery, painting, you name it. I just watched your “Damp box” vid and am preparing to do that and feeling so very excited. I’ve really enjoyed this video too. I’ve never made a pinch pot but now I really want to!!!! I don’t have a wheel (due to lack of money or finding a cheap one) I used to be a hand builder. In this video you mentioned using. Butter lid to spin pottery?!?!?!? Can you explain and maybe give me any other hacks for us who don’t have a wheel. Sorry for such a long comment. After such a truly horrible day and evening, you really made my night (here’s in FL it’s almost 4am, yikes.) Thank you and take care. ☺️ -Krista 💜💜 Worldofkristalraft (Facebook ... it’s been a while since I updated but just in case you would enjoy looking.
First, I have been watching your videos over the past year. I have learned so much from you . Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge. I do have a question. You said you were going to thin the bowl walls... I’m curious, why wouldn’t you have pinched them thinner to start with?
Because when it is lumpy, the lumps are removed with the shredder or surform... if they are too thin, you can't actually use that tool without going through! :) My next video is up, and you can see what I'm talking about! :)
Great idea- I’ll start making a list of “hacks”!
Hallo from Turin - Italy!!!
Hi from Australia, Love your videos so much. What do you do with all the shavings please.
Hello, Great work! Let me ask a question. What kind of clay do I need if I want to make sculpture and not fire? Thank you for your help.
For non fired clay- you can use air dry clay for sculpture- but it shouldn’t be exposed to the elements!
Thank you so much.

I'm interested in making these clay structures.. I don't have a kiln..is there an alternative to use?
Air dry clay
@@beautifulfindings3008 is air dry clay food safe?
@@meenusubrahmanian5692, nope

When I am making somethink I always forget that it shrinks when drying
