    Thanks for this! I plan to try this tomorrow. You are a great teacher. I love how you give concrete ideas but also leave it open for expression. PS. I also kinda liked the chickens. :-)

    Dear Karan,
    Thank you so much for this. I’m not an experienced potter but I started sever years back but then I took a long break due to severe health (Crohns and some other fun things) and my daughter almost 2 years ago who is truly the light in my heart. 💖
    I’ve had a truly horrible and challenging day which has caused insomnia. I’m actually spending time organizing my art tornado 🌪 room because I *need* art back in my life. Pottery, painting, you name it.
    I just watched your “Damp box” vid and am preparing to do that and feeling so very excited.
    I’ve really enjoyed this video too. I’ve never made a pinch pot but now I really want to!!!! I don’t have a wheel (due to lack of money or finding a cheap one) I used to be a hand builder. In this video you mentioned using. Butter lid to spin pottery?!?!?!? Can you explain and maybe give me any other hacks for us who don’t have a wheel.
    Sorry for such a long comment. After such a truly horrible day and evening, you really made my night (here’s in FL it’s almost 4am, yikes.)
    Thank you and take care. ☺️

    Hello, Great work! Let me ask a question. What kind of clay do I need if I want to make sculpture and not fire? Thank you for your help.

    • @KaransPotsAndGlass
      @KaransPotsAndGlass  Год назад

      For non fired clay- you can use air dry clay for sculpture- but it shouldn’t be exposed to the elements!

    First, I have been watching your videos over the past year. I have learned so much from you . Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge. I do have a question. You said you were going to thin the bowl walls... I’m curious, why wouldn’t you have pinched them thinner to start with?

    • @KaransPotsAndGlass
      @KaransPotsAndGlass  4 года назад +2

      Because when it is lumpy, the lumps are removed with the shredder or surform... if they are too thin, you can't actually use that tool without going through! :) My next video is up, and you can see what I'm talking about! :)

    Boa tarde professora , gostaria de pedir que você disponibilizasse seus vídeos para ativar a tradução em português ( Brasil) meu inglês não é suficiente para acompanhar 100% suas explicações , o youtube permite a tradução automática , na própria plataforma / estou iniciando na cerâmica , e aprendo muito com você .
