Kurt, thank you for the video! Top of the first - when Belliard (VF) at 1st and result is SI+ Belliard goes to 3rd. Even an average runner reaches the 3rd (shift one column to the right)
Jeffrey Hammonds 3-run HR! I know Jeffrey. He graduated from the same high school that I did, and they just retired his number a few years ago. It's one of just two numbers our high school baseball program has retired. His No. 11 is hanging on the left field fence there.
Just an FYI - the process for On-Base Events (WP, BK, PB, PO) were streamlined a bit more in Version 3 of Deep Drive for the exact reasons you said - I, also, in other games I've played that require an extra pre-AB roll, often forget.
Hey Kurt. I appreciate the review of the game. Sorry to hear about the background to your first playing the game, however. All the best to you and yours.
Hey! The seasons available matter to some of us! Maybe someone wants to play the 1916 Athletics against the 1911 Boston Rustlers in a dead ball cream of the crap matchup! Seriously, this may be a very good engine and game, but the seasons available and having every player card are 2 important considerations with a board game for me.
I’m sympathetic-I really am. I just think too often it’s an excuse to not try something that could be a good experience. If every season needs to be available before a purchase is made, a gamer has VERY few choices of sim.
@@KurtBergland Totally fair. And while I've only been playing APBA, I do like seeing videos of other games. I realize there are areas APBA is not as strong in as other games, the effects of the ballpark being one of them. And I've thought of delving into super advanced Strat and Fall Classic for two. However, time is a big deal and right now I don't have time for my current projects. I think APBA is more expensive than other games which is a big negative for some players. One thing I like very much about APBA is it's very adjustable. I have over 20 home rules when I play, many of them tweaks, some of them adding options outright like an ejections review process. While changes and tweaks can be done with other games, the way the APBA boards are set up and the engine I get the feeling that generally it's easier to do and more seamless with APBA.
I just bought the 1971 season after watching your videos. Thanks and Let's Go Bucs!!!
Enjoy!
I was a big Oriole fan, but even if the Bucs won it was a great WS.
Just ordered a copy (1952).....looks like fun.

I really like how this game plays. You have me interested in this game.
The Brewers pound the ball like this, could win some slugfests.
