Part of looking younger is a young mental attitude. Learn new things. Go out and experience life. Live music. Plays. Shows. Enjoy experiences and learning and you have interesting things to talk about. That is youthful. Of course, never do things you can’t afford or aren’t interested in. That is what I’m starting to do. Loved the video. I’m not ready to be old.
Curious about why everyone's posting about looking younger recently? I honestly have no interest in looking younger, I just want to look the best I can at my current age. Hard to believe,I know,but really I think it's a dangerous slippery slope on the desperate rat wheel, yet never truly achieving the thing. Whether that thing is getting skinny, looking young, constant consumerism to keep you hooked. You name it, it's all really the same concept of never being happy where you're at and thinking you're better off elsewhere.
A big part of looking youthful is nutrition. As most of us do I try to eat right. I take many supplements including drinking collagen powder in my coffee each morning. Another great way to stay youthful looking is to keep an updated hair style. I see so many women who do not update their hairstyle and it ages them terribly. Don't be afraid to try something new. Hair grows back. 🤩
Loving your tips. Just started wearing brighter colors around my face and upgraded my jean game. Time to pull out my pearls instead of waiting for special occasions.
Have you thought about having your hair cut or having an up do? I think it would make you look much younger. Don't mean to be critical but they do say no longer than shoulder length hair when you are over50.
Go easy on the makeup. No garish colors, crazy eyeliner and over extended fake lashes. Nothing screams "I'm trying too hard" like too much makeup. That goes for our beautiful host too.

You have a perfect figure. Maybe when you give tips do consider most of us seniors do not. Also most have physical issues not to speak of it being not advisable to wear heels, leave alone stiletto s after a certain age. I am from India. I try and do adapt your tips , some of them to Indian clothes, but here too 80% of the women do not wear Indian clothes anymore for practical purposes. Look younger tips should consider imperfect figures , physical issues ,as well as certain things like footwear . Heels even doctors advise against after a certain age. Tight fitting clothes..too. Most seniors do not like tight fits and particularly denims. Helen Mirren maybe has to think of the cameras. She is not a very good example. Please advocate practical style 's that ordinary women can follow.
Smiles are the best! (Like from Annie, You're never fully dressed without a smile!) I love these tips, and you're so right about how important it is to have the brightness up by our faces. I really notice the difference, and people are kinder when I really take the time to put together an outfit that follows your advice.
That is so true. Some women complain about feeling invisible. Just follow the steps above and that will no longer be a problem! Make an effort, ladies!
I seem to be paring back a lot on everything. I wear less makeup, usually no foundation at all, although I play up my eyelashes with a liquid eyeliner in between the lashes. I don't wear lipstick at all, just a moisturising balm. I have also stopped having my nails 'done'. It was frankly too expensive and damaging. Then I stopped painting them as no matter how much messing about I could never stop them chipping after a few hours. I just buff them now. I have also stopped dying my hair. I got it all cut off and am regrowing it. Funnily enough my natural colour is basically what I was after but could never seem to get. I avoid big bags (they're too heavy anyway and I don't really need the kitchen sink). I prefer structured bags a they look neater. One good thing about masks is no one can see my sagging jawline. :D

Thank you. I had my colors done more than 20 years ago. Not everyone believes in that. My mother didn't, but I could certainly tell the difference when she wore cool colors versus warm. I'm a winter, and I'm very strict with my colors. I'm five foot and size 18. I have to be very careful with what I wear. I'm over 60. Trendy clothes just make me look silly. I stick to classics.

Two words that don't seem to have made it into my vocabulary are "age" and "appropriate"!! 71, petite hourglass, I love bright clear spring tones near my face and garments that highlight my shape. Will be trying two of your tips I sometimes overlook (or don't make time for), namely nails and sunglasses (not just for when I'm behind the wheel). Also making an effort to ensure my smile reaches my eyes, as we have a mask mandate here at the moment. Love your style and upbeat presentations. Super slick and totally accessible. Thank you! 😊
I don't see you look younger you look nicely dressed but you look late 50s but classy dressed what ever you are wearing if you want to look younger in your early 40s you will have to get a whole surgical face lift neck lift as ageing shows when your neck is fuller to your face as that is one sign that you can't get away from ageing no creams can up lift neck and chin but other wise all your styling and fashion sense is great.

I’ve just discovered your channel as I’m looking for ways to freshen up my look and dress more stylish. I’m 54 and frankly I love being this age. I have a 20 year old daughter and love the maturity and wisdom that comes with getting older. I am proud of my age despite being petite and looking younger than I am, but I don’t want to look and dress younger. My youthfulness comes from a healthy lifestyle and good genetics from my late father who lived till he was 93 I have been told that I look pretty good for my age and am proud of that. I also have a mature outlook on life which is important. Having said that, I like your videos and find your tips on style and fashion helpful.
I’m 5’4” and about a 26.5” inseam, and I find H&M ankle jeans work well for me. I got sick of having to cut 9-12” off my “regular length jeans”. I just got their “straight high (rise) ankle Vintage jeans” in white, they’re great. And low-stretch, 1% elastane, which I like, no-stretch would be even better.

I've just Subscribed Today - I just Love your videos! So Inspiring! I'm an American from California & I just turned 60 last week. I'm definitely not ready to look like a Granny just yet. Your video on how to style a larger bust was what moved me to Subscribe. I've had a double mastectomy to remove cancer & I will be going up one cup size for my rebuild in order to take up the slack of drooping older breasts. I'm going from a saggy C to a pert D. Although a D cup is not a particularly large bust size it's still considerably More than I'm used to styling (I was a A- / barely B for most of my life) so I felt I could benefit from some Expert Advice as to what types of new blouses & tops to buy. I enjoyed that video very much & have been binging your channel all afternoon, since subscribing. I've already found TONS of genuinely Useful advice - all of it Age Appropriate - which is what I appreciate the most. Thanks so much for what you do So Well! Thank you.! I absolutely love the look of the sling back style heels with jeans and daily wear. The problem for me is they are not comfortable nor practical for my daily lifestyle. They look so feminine, however, I tend to wear booties and loafer type shoes 👞. It's not as sexy but it is where I'm at. 🤷🏻♀️

I was told by my hairdresser when I hit 40 that I needed to cut my hair, well, I refused and she kept telling me. Just before 50 I had it cut shorter and hated it. It took me a long while to grow it long again, but here I am at 60 with long hair and much happier. Old ladies have short hair.
To have good looking long hair especially over 40 it must be thick and in good condition, nothing is more ageing then an older woman with straggly colourless long hair
I agree, unless you have fine, thin, limp hair as I do. I look like a bloodhound when my hair is even chin length. I'd love to have hair I could grow out, but I don't feel like me when it's depressing to look in the mirror. I don't feel like me with long hair, unless it's a wig, but they aren't terribly comfortable. With my newest cut, I can be dressed and out the door in less than 5 minutes, and that's truly me. Lol

Great tips, Dierdre! I'm 79 - and that's no barrier to looking good - and it's fun to make the effort. Just recently I've been using a great product - Huile Prodigieux Gold by Nuxe. You can mix the tiniest - and I mean tiniest - drop or two with your primer, cc cream or foundation and it gives a lovely subtle glow to your skin without shine or glitter. Or you can use a drop just to highlight cheekbones or collarbones. (There's also a clear Huile Prodigieux that's a great body oil but it's the Gold version that gives the healthy glow to the face.)
I laughed out loud when you said “hey, here’s a Granny”….I could use help transitioning my corporate wardrobe to retirement. A video on changing one’s fashion to fit a new reality and still look elegant would be helpful. Thank you.
there was some great tips there today , ive actually started taking notice of your tips , & ive started wearing lighter tops & lighter make-up , & actually bought some new sunglasses lol , & ive just changed my perfume too , which i think can make you feel old when you stick to the same one for years which i did , i wore chanel no5 for years , so ive just changed to one called SI by giorgio armani , it's very light & fruity & makes you feel younger .

Although a D cup is not a particularly large bust size it's still considerably More than I'm used to styling (I was a A- / barely B for most of my life) so I felt I could benefit from some Expert Advice as to what types of new blouses & tops to buy. I was told by my hairdresser when I hit 40 that I needed to cut my hair, well, I refused and she kept telling me. Just before 50 I had it cut shorter and hated it.
It took me a long while to grow it long again, but here I am at 60 with long hair and much happier. Old ladies have short hair.

To have good looking long hair especially over 40 it must be thick and in good condition, nothing is more ageing then an older woman with straggly colourless long hair
I agree, unless you have fine, thin, limp hair as I do. I look like a bloodhound when my hair is even chin length. I'd love to have hair I could grow out, but I don't feel like me when it's depressing to look in the mirror. I don't feel like me with long hair, unless it's a wig, but they aren't terribly comfortable. With my newest cut, I can be dressed and out the door in less than 5 minutes, and that's truly me. Lol
You must have great hair. Mine just sits like a bowl on my head if it’s weighted down.

Great tips, Dierdre! I'm 79 - and that's no barrier to looking good - and it's fun to make the effort. Just recently I've been using a great product - Huile Prodigieux Gold by Nuxe. You can mix the tiniest - and I mean tiniest - drop or two with your primer, cc cream or foundation and it gives a lovely subtle glow to your skin without shine or glitter. Or you can use a drop just to highlight cheekbones or collarbones. (There's also a clear Huile Prodigieux that's a great body oil but it's the Gold version that gives the healthy glow to the face.)

there was some great tips there today , ive actually started taking notice of your tips , & ive started wearing lighter tops & lighter make-up , & actually bought some new sunglasses lol , & ive just changed my perfume too , which i think can make you feel old when you stick to the same one for years which i did , i wore chanel no5 for years , so ive just changed to one called SI by giorgio armani , it's very light & fruity & makes you feel younger .
