It’s ironic that California wants to go all electric but has one of the weakest power grids to support everybody charging up their cars and other batteries. I love the videos you do! (And the voices!!)
Stihl with a ap300s battery i can trim a 13ac property with 45 trees plus an oversized detached barn-garage in about four hours and only use two batteries. To be fair tho.i have for batteries two for the trimmer two for the pole saw. The fast charging system emplys two chargers. Only takes less then thirty minutes to charge ready for the next job.
Milwaukee trimmer does great. Even though it takes multiple charges, it has become a reminder for me to take a break, get some water. When i had my Shindaiwa (now owned by Echo) i would just keep going and going until I had heat exhaustion.
I have that same string trimmer! I only purchased it because it came in a kit with the blower, 8.0’battery and rapid charger. I only wanted the blower, so I figured I would sell string trimmer, until I used it one time. It was my first time using a string trimmer and and I actually think it’s fun to use. Even though I don’t have any property to use it on.
Love mine, works great. I can bang out 1/5th acre with 2 6 amps. I've fallen down hillsides onto it several times lol and the attachments are great. The hedge trimmer is a little cumbersome so is the polesaw because of weight but I can complain as its a lot bigger compared to every other brand.
Ego is where it's at! I've had the dewalt and switched to rhe Ego with the power load and it is life changing! I've never had the chance to try the milwaukee. Glad you like it!
We used an Ego weedwacker and it was able to clear some THICC ass grass on a property my old company had for one of our billboards. One battery and the lot was about the same size (from what we can see) super handy.
I have that one and it couldn’t keep up with my yard. It overheated and uses up my 12Ah batteries pretty quick. Got myself a Stihl before they’re gone for good. Now I keep the hedger attachment on the M18 permanently
Battery string trimmers are the best. I am not upset with the switch. It’s a little heavier but when I’m not using it it’s quiet. Can’t say that about the gas ones unless it’s turned off.
I have an older Ryobi 18v that isn't balanced well so it is awkward to hold. It cannot cut heavy stuff, but after fighting 2 stroke trimmers, I will not go back. I just can't let the grass get too wild. I've never ran out of battery while using it. When it doesn't work anymore, I'll probably get an Ego.
DeWalt string trimmers are not at all hard to load lol. Landscaping tools like blowers I'm a little iffy on making the battery leap, but I've made the switch for my string trimmer and couldn't be happier! Your only limit is your batteries, and for that the DeWalt platform has a multi-port fast charger. Hedge trimmers are also great for batteries, my Stihl one works brilliantly. I've also got their mini pruning chainsaw. Batteries are the future of landscaping imo
If you like the milwaukee weedeater your Going to LOVE the ryobi 40v wheed eater. I go eith ryobi gor yard equipment and milwaukee for drills, home tools. I like both brands.
I’m out here in Modesto/stockton California area and the Home Depot’s still carry gas lawnmowers on the shelf…. But only 2 options. And it said they had gas powered chainsaws in stock but they were not on the shelf. You have to place an order online for pickup at that Home Depot….. but yes they are trying to make it very difficult for anyone to own new gas powered anything
I had a dewalt battery trimmer and it literally caught fire when i was trying to over work it by trimming weeds under a fence. So i went out and bought a gas trimmer and never looked back. Hated charging batteries just to do lawn work. I still have an electric blower but i dont see that think catching fire so ill keep it.
I've had mine when they 1st came out and still use it, I have a 1/2 acre lot, and so far still going, only down side is that there weak, they stop automatically, it's only meant for like small grass, I have too have the strings short so it won't stop. If you have them long it sucks
I sold my stihl after getting this milwaukee trummer. The power isnt close you will never go back to gas. Who wants to deal with mixing fuel, possible hard starts, just all the small issues that come with gas im done with them
I have stihl gas powered stuff at home and m18 battery powered stuff at work, both have their pro and cons but the m18 batteries not lasting has me wanting to keep the stihl stuff at home. I got the company to buy some m18 forge 6.0ah batteries and depending on how well they last I might ditch the stihl
More people live in Los Angeles county alone than 40 individuals states. It’s not exactly easy for one of the largest populations to just up in move especially with mortgage rates as high as they are. Also all of the real estate markets in other states are drunk on all of the California money coming is so home prices are though the roof
Honestly, I feel like the 1st gen Milwaukee string trimmer is so much better. I got the Quik-Lok one thinking it will do a better job but I feel like it doesn't compare to the older one.I only use the Quik-Lok one for the edger and pole saw attachments.
I’ve had personally used the dewalt weedeater and it’s works batteries die quickly but for a small yard it’s perfect but I got 5 acres and weedeater I have is a old commercial red max daddy bought new 32 years ago paid $600 for it back then
I have a 36v Makita trimmer and it’s comparable to a gas trimmer. It’s not powerful enough to run cutter blades on it, but it’ll get even the thickest grass and weeds.
Milwaukee trimmer with a 18v HD12 puts a decent amount of work and of course it won’t do as much or as fast as a gas powered! I would rather use the battery powered trimmer so as to not have to wear ear-pro and also not suck in all the fumes!
Errrhhhh heres a Tip,precut your length i think yours is 25 feet or so and cut the wire have the string trimmer face down put the string in head and walk backwards to even the line out and lay it down walk up to weedeater pick it up one hand on bottom part of head and other on the top do the back and forth half cranks till your line comes in , i also take off my gaurds lol
Why? It still takes gas or coal to run the power grid to charge up those batteries, and lithium isn't some infinite resource, and it's difficult to mine.
You're a brave man sticking around in commie-fornia! Sorry things are getting so finicky there! I'm in the same boat as "dewalt man".. does pretty well, but the Milwaukee looks nice 👌
Gas is also just annoying. You often have to use a gassoline oil mix, you either have to buy for way to much money or you have to mix it yourself than it won't start after you had it in your garage for 6 month during winter.
california is not banning gas powered anything. the law simply prevents the sale of gas powered equipment other than cars 5 years from now. you can still use your gas powered tools for as long as they work. you can repair them too, im sure there will be plenty of repair shops for gas powered tools will pop up.
The gardeners are keeping the old equipment and having it repaired if broke down or just going into Arizona to buy new gas trimmers, mowers etc battery powered equipment is not viable in a all day usage situation
It’s not the gas going away. Stores literally cant import new gas powered tools and don’t carry them anymore. Also no new gas powered vehicles are allowed starting 2035
Plumber and landscaper this man does all! Great content as always
Finally, something that fits his skill set. Landscaping!
That Milwaukee is the first battery trimmer I've used that actually feels like a high quality tool and not a flimsy toy.
Ryobi brushless (not the HP) is $100. Third party 6ah batteries are $50.
I hate M18 and the way they don't charge in the chargers unless you seat it perfectly. Ghey
I also have a tree trimmer with the Quick Lok feature and it’s hefty !! It has the an additional extension and it trimmed up my pine trees nicely !
The kobalt 80v trimmer is no joke . I'm a professional landscaper and it has enough power for heavy use .
Higher end ryobis also feel decent as well.
It’s ironic that California wants to go all electric but has one of the weakest power grids to support everybody charging up their cars and other batteries. I love the videos you do! (And the voices!!)
Don't forget how there are electric charging stations run off diesel 😂.
California is a failed state. They will be their own downfall.

Everytime i load the string in mine once i use it the string just gets eaten in the holes. Idk what im doing wrong
I have that same string trimmer! I only purchased it because it came in a kit with the blower, 8.0’battery and rapid charger. I only wanted the blower, so I figured I would sell string trimmer, until I used it one time. It was my first time using a string trimmer and and I actually think it’s fun to use. I have this with the edging and chainsaw attachment love it
We may be in a voice over renaissance everyone
Love mine, works great. I can bang out 1/5th acre with 2 6 amps. I've fallen down hillsides onto it several times lol and the attachments are great. The hedge trimmer is a little cumbersome so is the polesaw because of weight but I can complain as its a lot bigger compared to every other brand.
I got the makita 18v. That thing is badass for a little cordless trimmer
I have a battery operated lawn mower and whipper snipper and i love them.
Ego is where it's at! I've had the dewalt and switched to rhe Ego with the power load and it is life changing! I've never had the chance to try the milwaukee. Glad you like it!
Dude yes I'm a high schooler I've invested 5000 dollars in ego equipment best thing ever the warranty is the best and the tools are amazing
I got their lawn mower. Love it!
I love my quik lok trimmer
We used an Ego weedwacker and it was able to clear some THICC ass grass on a property my old company had for one of our billboards. One battery and the lot was about the same size (from what we can see) super handy.
I do a cemetery and I use my ego trimmer with the backpack link 7.5 and one 5.0 amp hour battery and the 5 hours of trimming is done
I have that one and it couldn’t keep up with my yard. It overheated and uses up my 12Ah batteries pretty quick. Got myself a Stihl before they’re gone for good. Now I keep the hedger attachment on the M18 permanently
Love that
I love my milwaukee trimmer
I have the Milwaukee. It's great. A lot of cool attachments too.
Battery string trimmers are the best. I am not upset with the switch. It’s a little heavier but when I’m not using it it’s quiet. Can’t say that about the gas ones unless it’s turned off.
Errrrr!, , idk 🤷♂️ maybe these guys are right this time, , I'd get out of California before it's too late! I hear Florida is great 👍
I have an older Ryobi 18v that isn't balanced well so it is awkward to hold. It cannot cut heavy stuff, but after fighting 2 stroke trimmers, I will not go back. I just can't let the grass get too wild. I've never ran out of battery while using it.

hey boy, why not use a lawnmower like a normal person
Lots of sticks and rocks for a lawnmower
@@replumbit’ll keep you on your toes. No such thing as day dreaming when you have rocks flying at your shins
Tried it out and returned it. I like Milwaukee but my Echo gas tools are hard to beat.
Fair enough
If you like the milwaukee weedeater your
Going to LOVE the ryobi 40v wheed eater. I go eith ryobi gor yard equipment and milwaukee for drills, home tools. I like both brands.
Just bought one today! She rips!
Bro your brilliant.
That Honda civic tho 😂🎉🎉
I’m out here in Modesto/stockton California area and the Home Depot’s still carry gas lawnmowers on the shelf…. But only 2 options. And it said they had gas powered chainsaws in stock but they were not on the shelf. Gotta get out of cali my brother
No
I had a dewalt battery trimmer and it literally caught fire when i was trying to over work it by trimming weeds under a fence. So i went out and bought a gas trimmer and never looked back. Well
Sweet overalls boi

Nice. I need to replace my cheap crappy one. Dies in just 15 minutes. I'll look into this one, thanks.
Get an ego one get the st1510T model
I sold my stihl after getting this milwaukee trummer. The power isnt close you will never go back to gas.
Who wants to deal with mixing fuel, possible hard starts, just all the small issues that come with gas im done with them
I've wanted to find a corded trimmer like what my dad uses
What part of California do you live?
I have stihl gas powered stuff at home and m18 battery powered stuff at work, both have their pro and cons but the m18 batteries not lasting has me wanting to keep the stihl stuff at home. I got the company to buy some m18 forge 6.0ah batteries and depending on how well they last I might ditch the stihl
Get the ego stuff it's amazing 5 year tool warranty and 3 or 5 year battery warranty
My dewalt sting trimmer was hella easy to load up with string
Yeah I like gas trimmers but the battery trimmers I havnt had any issues with, just wish the abttiers lasted longer, havnt had a power issue with the.
Hey boy, That's real cute toy you got there. Back in my day we used animals like Real men! :old-man:
My 20v dewalt loads almost identical to your Milwaukee from what I can see
I’m trying to figure out why people still live in California 😂😂 love the videos bro
More people live in Los Angeles county alone than 40 individuals states. It’s not exactly easy for one of the largest populations to just up in move especially with mortgage rates as high as they are. Also all of the real estate markets in other states are drunk on all of the California money coming is so home prices are though the roof
Ego has the best reloading
All the voices are back. Thus man can actually have a career doing voiceovers.
Hope so because he ain't never gonna be a plumber. He's barely a talentless service tech!
For real though just to fill my 2 gal jug it was like $13!
Honestly, I feel like the 1st gen Milwaukee string trimmer is so much better. I got the Quik-Lok one thinking it will do a better job but I feel like it doesn't compare to the older one.I only use the Quik-Lok one for the edger and pole saw attachments.

Hey boy, back in my day we threw tea in the harbor and told politicians no more!
To old?😅
What did you think about its power?
It could be a little stronger. They came out with a dual battery one that I want to try
I have a 36v Makita trimmer and it’s comparable to a gas trimmer. It’s not powerful enough to run cutter blades on it, but it’ll get even the thickest grass and weeds.
I really like my ego I do wish the batteries were smaller tho but it has some balls to it.
If they are to heavy get the ego backpack link it is soft and comfortable I trim for 5 hours at a cemetery with it
That’s why I love Iowa(or every other state for that matter) you get to sound your engines and nobody cares.
Gas powered is the goat I’m in CA, I actually live near you and I’m a plumber. You looking for a young tech for mother flushers?
In due time! Not ready to hire yet
Milwaukee trimmer with a 18v HD12 puts a decent amount of work and of course it won’t do as much or as fast as a gas powered! I would rather use the battery powered trimmer so as to not have to wear ear-pro and also not suck in all the fumes!
Switch to the forge battery. It's the newest model. Longer charge more power
Use the brush cutter metal blade, faster and doesn’t deposit little bits of plastic everywhere
Get yourself the Brush Cutter attachment.
Is Honda the sponsor 🫠
My Milwaukee quik-lokker junk cuts out after 5 minutes of trimming.
I cant wait for everything to be electric
Why? It still takes gas or coal to run the power grid to charge up those batteries, and lithium isn't some infinite resource, and it's difficult to mine.
Just in time for bennigans
Just fyi... if you resist it makes it harder for them to take what they want...
I've seen a lot of your videos but never thought you were in that landfill called California
Where would you expect a talentless hack to live?
Does your brother have a RUclips channel?
7 dollars a gallon is criminal
Move to Oklahoma
You need to move to Texas
You're a brave man sticking around in commie-fornia! Sorry things are getting so finicky there! I'm in the same boat as "dewalt man".. does pretty well, but the Milwaukee looks nice 👌
Gas is also just annoying. You often have to use a gassoline oil mix, you either have to buy for way to much money or you have to mix it yourself than it won't start after you had it in your garage for 6 month during winter.
Safety violation 😂😂😂
Bro forgot his Milwaukee lawn mower at home it seems
Amazing that you had to purchase a tool 😅
It runs good but the cutting swath is too narrow
california is not banning gas powered anything. the law simply prevents the sale of gas powered equipment other than cars 5 years from now. you can still use your gas powered tools for as long as they work. you can repair them too, im sure there will be plenty of repair shops for gas powered tools will pop up.
What a way to spin it into a positive. 🤡
You must live in the middle of nowhere... prem is 5.19 at my Costco in S Ca... Reg is 4.99
California....condolences 😢
Theres no way, that things a battery hog, same with the leaf blower.I used mine like twice and sold it.
Lmk if you need a gas weed eater in Sacramento. Ik you’re business is out here. I’ve got a trimmer I’d gladly sell to ya for a good deal
Are gas weedeaters really banned in ca 😂. That is fuckin hilarious 🤣
Yes you can own them but stores can’t sell them
batteries already took many of the ladies
Nap time 👍
eeerrrrr…. why didnt you use your pressy thing
The gardeners are keeping the old equipment and having it repaired if broke down or just going into Arizona to buy new gas trimmers, mowers etc battery powered equipment is not viable in a all day usage situation
Gas is not going away , they’ll always be a loop hole somewhere
It’s not the gas going away. Stores literally cant import new gas powered tools and don’t carry them anymore. Also no new gas powered vehicles are allowed starting 2035
New construction is making everything electric from my understanding
Who’s they and what are you going to do about it
04-27-2024, gas is about $5.40 in Los Angeles county. I don't like it but I don't have much of a choice. It has never averaged $7.00 a gallon, never.
For regular?
Sorry you’re in Cali
Why the hell would anyone live in California
Thats where you need a lawn mower no?
Rocks
Dudes gaslighting himself 😂
Civic gang
OSHA violation is crazy 😂😂😂
OSHA?
That actually gives me an incentive to buy a gas powered one
Gas trimmers are so fucking loud. I don't think I'll ever go back now that I have an electric one.
Trust me you'll never go back if you have an ego one
Why does anyone still live in Cali?
I use gas and electric yard tools and to be honest they both work. California is insane.
Your from California that explains all the fairy stuff on this channel. 😉
good luck cutting any big tree then
