- Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia should resume production of intermediate- and short-range nuclear-capable missiles. Putin also said Moscow should then consider where to deploy them after the US brought similar missiles to Europe and Asia. Putin said Russia had vowed not to deploy such missiles but the US had resumed production, bringing its missiles to Denmark and the Philippines.

This agreement is mostly about the storing of equipment in Denmark and the ability for aircraft to deploy there as needed. It's not about establishing permanent bases for stationing US troops per se.
