Bit of backstory with this specific test. I somehow forgot to upload it... This was recorded way back in January at the same location as the fire suppression system test on my channel. This is the main system which is a NFW-50 iirc. The signals are very basic advances with bg12s. A notifier NANN-80 in black is also shown. Hope you enjoy!

That’s crazy seeing 2 fire alarms next to each other one is for fire suppression and the other is the normal fire alarm

yeah they really should have used a lense color or something on the gentex devices. Oh well

SpectrAlert Advances nothing too special with those but they do their job at alerting people of an emergency that's the most important thing.

I would love to see an inspection with Simplex 4903s lmao

Agreed, I like the entire spectralert series however I think the advance is definitely better than the classic. in my opinion advances are overhated and classics are overrated

@@RMA2009 Yeah, I like the easiness of mounting and reliability of the Advance more than the Classic, but like the tone and appearance of the Classic more than the Advance. The L Series in my opinion is cheaper than the Advance but slightly easier on the ears. The New LED L Series looks very futuristic. I love the old Classic sounder strobes that System Sensor made!

I can hear that the FWR affects the sound of the Advances in some way. There’s a slight difference that makes them sound horrible compared to when on filtered.

Do SpectrAlert Advances have a sound difference when powered on FWR as opposed to filtered DC because it's very hard to tell because of the same tone they make

Yes, as a matter of fact they do, they sound better and healthier on Filtered and will possibly make the Advances last longer too.

How is that an NFW 50

Definitely something from the Fire Warden series tho. That FWR they output makes the advances sound like 💩.

@@ticearpey3235Lol I agree with you 100% on that one! Classics would not handle the FWR well, worse than Advances, but if these were Simplex devices, they'd do much worse!
