- Steven Rothery was always my favorite guitar player since I listened the Fugazi album. The emotions he expresses in his playing were always touching me and when I heard that he was playing two classic albums in one weekend, I couldn't wait for it :)
It was a really incredible concert. Lots of old stuff and the entire Misplaced Childhood. Last time I heard this with Steven on guitar was 1985... A dream come true to listen to it again! It was a really incredible experience. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.
This is the about 75% of the concert from the first night. I arrived late at the venue and forgot the second battery in the car. So I knew, I couldn't film the entire concert! So, I filmed some parts with my mobile and I received a good audience recording from the show. I put all the pieces together, and we have now more than 90 minutes from this 2,5 hour gig.
There are some short parts, that do not have video and only audio. I filled this parts with some photos.
I will always love his music and I will always be grateful for this special night. Thanks Steven!

Fantastic, the singer is excellent, the misplaced childhood section is brilliant. Steve Rothery still has it
He’ll never lose’it ‘
one of the most underrated guitarists from the greatest underrated band, MARILLION!! just awesome stuff !!
Steve Rothery ist einer der Besten!
Ja! Ja! Ja!
Been blessed to see Steve Rothery a couple of times going back in to the early eighties and the early day of Marillion. He's a music lover who's very hard to beat. Respect
Big thanks to the Koln, Germany audience. It is BEAUTIFUL to hear a foreign language country singing back the lyrics. Thank you for sharing the video. Special thanks to Mr. Rothery & Marillion of course. :)
Fantastic singer!
Triumph mate you made it !I can relate this story .1986 ....2023!.
Great band, great singer and a fantastic version of Misplaced Childhood.
I was there in 2019 - what a great night ;)
Steve Rothery ti adoro il mio idolo !!!!
Very good!!! Good vibes from Brazil.
Brilliant melodic player. As good now as he always was.
As much as I loved fish when he was with this band this version brings back so many memories. Whoever the singer is did a great job but so did the audience. Just beautiful. Oh yeah and rothery is a badd a**.
Steve is an incredible guitar-god! But the singer is also amazing! He‘s extrmely similiar to fish. A very good concert👏👏👏
🤘🤓🎼Ich kann es nicht glauben!!! Wir haben 2020... Und das ist gut! Habe Dich /Euch 1986 in Offenbach /Germany gesehen! So geil....
Amazing that singer!!! I just watched the whole thing. A shame he wasn't right there back then when Fish left Marillion.
And sure, Steve still kicks ass
exactky the current sniffer sorry singer pussy looking is terrible, this guy here sings superb
Herzblut-Muiker!
very proud of my boy , Martin your amazing bro ! xx
Yes he delivered a great performance both on Fish and Hogarth songs.
@@carl13220 HERE HERE,,, RATHER LIKE NAD SYLVANS GABRIEL AND COLLINS MIX
@@kevcatnip7589 i think Nads a lot better singing the Gabriel stuff rather than the Collins stuff dont think his voice is good enough to getaway singing phil .
@@jeffchristie1541 AH WELL HALIFAX HACKETT GIG SOON

Wow! ❤️❤️❤️
If you know the both live records „the thieving magpie“ and Real to reel“ you know about Steve‘s fantastic work. Love Marillion since their beginning in ´84.
This is fantastic one of the greatest Marillion related videos
Pleasant surprise
Thanks!
Fantástico joder, Fantástico. Excelente concierto
Was für ein Auftritt, Hammer!!!

Brilliant, Very Good, Amazing! Thank You: make this concert on Blu-Ray and Dvd Please:even the singer is very good!

Great set list. Would loved to have been at both nights. Martin Jakubski's voice seems to capture the best of both Fish and Steve Hogarth. Personally speaking, I have had some difficulty liking the post Fish era as much due to Hogarth's diction, however I REALLY like the sound on Easter and Afraid of Sunlight at this gig.
StillMarillion is a small comfort for those of use who believed in our 20's that Marillion would exist forever. The sad truth is that he sings 80's Fish better than Fish can now. Marillion is the most tragic story in Rock music.
ah this is why PETE cried ,,,, MARILLION SPLIT
JOKN
Totally agree with the H diction on Fish era songs. I commented the same thing on the other video. Like I hate how H sings Kayleigh dragging out the vocal lines. For christs sake, get off your ego trip and sing it like Fish. Fish was never an accomplished singer but he sure could write a ton of great lyrics, so his vocals lines were usually quick, many times really bitey or vitriolic, and rarely drawn like how Steve wants to sing them. Thats probably why H doesnt like to perform them and why Id much rather see SRB over Marillion now with the opportunity of seeing a complete performance of MC or CaS.
@@DeaconIvory i respect your tongue in cheek but Badfingers is a real Greek tragedy .Heartbreaking
All righttttt !!!
BELLISSIMO!!!
This brings back so many great memories :) Thank you so much fot this amazing concert! Unfortunately, Fish can't sing anymore, but I became a Marillion fan because of Rothery! And I like Marillenknödel haha ... and Steve Hogarth is such a great guy; very down to earth
thanks for this amazin comment. You are welcome. Marillion Ruhls
Fish can sing these days just not so much the high notes.
"Fish" could never sing, but he's a great lyricist.
Just booked the weekend in Cologne in September...😮
Mee too 🤩
We will all meet there 🤩
Grande Stev
finally MARILLION again without a washcloth!
haha, exactly!
Marillion sure made some exhilarating music. Love this.
This is great, including the singer, and really nostalgic, but I really don't get how much people on this thread hate Steve Hogarth. Fish left. Get over it. He still trawls his Marillion back catalogue and good luck to him, but Marillion have made way more albums since and they're still a great band - the musicians, the songs, and (whisper it) the singer and the lyrics. Perhaps it might have helped everyone if they had changed their name, but they didn't. I saw them twice with Fish, have seen Fish twice, have seen them with H a bunch of times too. And guess what - it was all good.
I agree. I prefer the fish stuff but I like both eras. Some people equate "not as good" and shit as being the same thing sometimes. But a lot of the Hogarth stuff is really good. Mostly the earlier H stuff tho
Muito bom. Espetacular.
We could certainly use more poets, prophets and visionaries right now
Thank you! Excellent!
Vocal -Martin Jakubski tak swojsko brzmi.Pozdrawiam z Polski.Świetny koncert
By the way, you did a great job in producing this video.
Thanks... I had a stiff shoulder afterwards... hahaha
@@LiveMusic-archive thank you i 'm enjoying this thing right now and i think it's amazing you captured this moment , these are the moments for what every musician works . big thanks it was well worth that stiff shoulder
Brilliant, great singer! And they play Incubus... best solo from Steve IMO!
please share and subscribe my channel :)
Thanks!
Der Kerle is sowas von stark! Unfassbar!
Just...wow. I prefer that singer to the one who replaced Fish in Marillion. That guy rocks!
🎶🎵🎼🎸😎👊
Ahhh I thought Steve would play breaking the spell haha.. Pendragon classic.. Same chords.. Would be sensational to hear..
Good
Marillion resurrected !
Great Audience.
It's the singer from cruise to the edge ...isn't it
as far as I know, Steven always plays with him
I'd love to know who he is, he's amazing!
Too bad Fish was such a Wanker. That band was and still is extraordinary. Steve has been the biggest influence during my younger years as a guitarist.
Really good: its a shame that the public yells over this excellent singer, same for the stupid clapping.
no fish songs are lame
