Ambrose Island is a great Hitman map with memorable characters (Orson, Lucas Grey and the weed guy lol) but I'd like some more peppy music and bright sunshine like Sapienza or Haven Island.
This felt like top 10 main missions rather than top 10 maps. I'd always put Sapienza as the best map because of how much variety it squeezes in while still feeling well put together and the sunset and nighttime versions of it just give me so much nostalgia for old holidays in Europe.
A lot of people, especially this youtuber, seem to mix those things up constantly. I think Sapienza is definitely one of the best maps, but an average mission, because no matter what you do, no matter how you start the mission, you will always have to get to the basement to destroy the damn objective. Ofcourse, it could be much worse... for example, it could be - Chongqing mission. Decent map, definitely below the likes of Miami or Sapienza, but the mission is pretty awful.
Fun fact able Mendoza I had an IO level developer comment on a reddit post about the lack of exits especially fun exits. They said they planned on more exits. One was the car that they later added, one where 47 flies off in a wine glass. and another was 47 diving into the wine vats. but they did tell them if you have the requiem suit on you get an exit at the shine starting location, it nothing special but it is great for a more suit friend exit that is much closer to the targets.
I agree with most of these picks, but I can see why some of the other ones are on this list Mumbai is very rightfully there, a very fun map, but can be very exhausting, especially at the beginning thanks to the sheer size and three targets. I don't mind that there are three now, but when I first played the map, yeah, that was way too much, but now I'm kinda thankful that there are three, as more of the map could be utilized. I really like that it has a huge amount of options to traverse through the map, it's a fantastic map, and definitely worthy of being in top 10 just because how detailed it is. Also I really think people should get to know Maelstrom's route more, I know he's not marked on the map, but there are few contracts in contracts mode that make learning his route easier, he can be very easily isolated with coins in the bathroom from default start, and I think it's a very interesting and pretty consistent way to get him. Dubai I think is pretty mediocre, but not really because it's what been done before. I think the map itself is very good, and definitely very fun to explore, but I do feel Carl Ingram drags it down, as he has two bodyguards, he would be more manageable with just one. Getting him with default loadout can be annoying, but I'm sure there are couple ways to get him for a fiber wire kill that way. Not much to say about Stuyvesant, he's a good target. Also it's nice to see Ambrose Island that high, as it really is such a great map. I do think Crest can be a bit more tricky to eliminate than Akka, but for a very easy isolation there's always a free durian on the map, so it's not a big deal. Satellite is annoying to destroy, no doubts here, but it's the only real flaw the map has I think. I really liked New York at the beginning, very fun map, but I started to like it less and less as time went on. Nothing really wrong with the map, there is a lot of freedom here and space is well utilized, but I feel like there isn't much to it once all challenges are done, as opposed to other maps. Paris is fantastic, never was my favourite and I started to appreciate it only after I played Hitman 2. I do have an issue with Novikov's route, I don't think there are many opportunities to get him, I guess there is getting him in the staircase after his phone call, or in the kitchen behind the bar, or using fireworks, and few others that aren't suit only. But I think what redeems this map is just how many routes there are to climb around it, I think it's the best map when it comes to scaling, Isle of Sgail being second. Dartmoor... I love the atmosphere of it, I think the secondary objective is fine, but I kinda take issue with Alexa herself, as it's mostly getting her in the office, or when she goes down to meet the detective.. Map itself feels like repeating New York but making it just a bit different and better in few aspects. I'm kinda disappointed with outside areas, I feel like they should've added one more, to make it more similar to Beldingford Manor from contracts. Also it's weird how the mansion doesn't have a basement, feels so weird knowing that the first floor doesn't have anything below it for some reason. I also feel like it's kinda mediocre, feels like something more could be done with it. I appreciate that it's unique though, variety is important. Berlin is perfect, nothing to add here. I really like the route of getting all targets in the club without the Rolf lure, I think it's a very fun way to experience the map. Chongqing too, I think it's layout is great. It's true that the streets are underutilized, but they lead to so many interesting places and without them it wouldn't be as good. Also I like how the player might not even go into the ICA facility, I don't like this area very much but still glad it's there, just because it gives even more options, and more uses for camera. About Honorable Mentions... Mendoza has a great layout, but yeah, Tamara Vidal is another one of these annoying targets, it's best to eliminate her as the second one. One of the possible options is to light a fire with propane flash or a torch and poison her food with rat poison, it's one of the fastest ways to get her as the second target. Hokkaido also feels pretty underwhelming, Yuki is a fine target, but it's a shame Soders isn't that great, but at least he's unique. And Miami... yeah, it's a perfect map, nothing to add to it honestly.
Dartmoor and Chonqing are the ones I really disagree with here. For Dartmoor, the mansion is incredibly well designed but it feels underutilized in terms of objectives-Alexa is incredibly easy to get to in a number of ways, and the office safe is also incredibly easy to get to. I think the shortcuts are a bit overpowered. The detective gimmick is cool for about 2-3 playthrough, then the map really doesn’t have much to do at all, although the underlying solid design makes it a great contracts map. Chonqing is carried by it’s art design but the lack of more on the streets makes it feel unfinished. There are only two areas of any consequence, and unlike places like Sapienza where this is also true, the rest of the map is tiny and empty. This is fine in a smaller scale map, but for a cyberpunk Chinese city it felt really underwhelming. Hokkaido was snubbed!
The first entire floor of Dartmoor is useless. There is nothing to do on the first floor. The security disguise is useless. All the disguises except for bodyguard and investigator are useless
Chongqing and Berlin are my 2 favorite maps, glad to see them at the top 3. Miami is amazing too. Great video once again. Also, when choosing the maps, you based only on the missions itself or also for the escalations/elusive targets they have and the possibilities for creating contracts?
Pretty good list my guy... you are amazing ❤ I personally have a different list (with Isle of Sgail in top 5 lmaoo), but as it is mostly a subjective question I very much agree with your reasons... IOI really knows how to make something near perfect
13:15 The sexually confused racer? Did I miss something about Sierra? 😅 Anyways, nice video. I especially liked the Ambrose appreciation because often I hear that it is just lazy reusing of assets while I think it's far better than that.
Really like your top 10 but this is what I think is the best 10: 10.mumbai 9.Dartmoor 8.Dubai 7.The bank 6.Berlin 5.Hokaido 4.Chongqing 3.Mendoza 2.Sapienza 1.Miami

Here's my top 10 (with 2 honorable mentions) based on how fun the maps are and how one can create interesting contracts on them. Honorable mentions: Mendoza and Dartmoor 10: Ambrose Island 9: Miami 8: Berlin 7: Chongqing 6: Haven Island 5: Mumbai 4: New York 3: Whittleton Creek 2: Hokkaido 1: Sapienza Cheers !
2 things. One: damn this guy likes fiberwires 2: Colorado will always be one of my favorite maps. It may be a pain or inconvenience to get around, dodging guards and enforcers left and right, but the detail and thought put into makes it one of the coolest maps in my opinion, I liked the mission so much and I had no problem with the fact I died a million times trying to do it.
One reason I think Mumbai deserves to be higher up in the ranking is that it has a ridiculously entertaining villain in Rangan. Some people may find the portrayal of a self absorbed megalomaniac, who fancies himself a movie star, borderline racist, but I think you need a good motivation to want to get rid of these targets. Rangan, with his arrogance and clownish vanity makes the anticipation of eliminating him in creative and elaborate ways so much more fun than your run of the mill bad guy.
13:04 Damn. I have figured out a SA/SO strategy on my own, I have all achievements in Miami (except those requiring escalations), but I didn't knew about either the USB or the laptop controlling the race.
Great list, one of the ones I've seen I agree much more with. Personally I could not warm up to Amberose Island. Something always feels clunky to me when I play the map. Might just be my lack of experience there. Miami I think is really great but underutilized. I practically take out Sierra with a shot to the car all the time because ending the race is too much of a hustle. If there were some starting locations with the race already finished it would be a 10/10 for me but like that I just need to run to far to make anything happen to Sierra
you can end the race early with the mascot story if you let him get the evidence and call her people, which doesn't take long to do. that'll cause her to go to a specific area to meet him though. not sure what happens if you incapacitate the mascot after he calls and don't take the disguise to meet her there instead, etc. sure is a great game/map if so much is possible

I can't 100% agree with the maps, and that is for one main reason - they are all amazing. I personally think that pretty much all of the maps in the trilogy are very good and I couldn't say that one is better than the otter. I think that for hitman, a tierlist of all the maps would be better, because for me it's way easier to separate the maps into categories where a few maps can be equal. I pretty much love all of the maps and there is something special about every single one of them and that's one of the best things about the game in my opinion.
New York is one of my favorite maps, along with Miami. Miami because of the color. Most of the hitman maps I find dark and gloomy, and not bright and colorful like Miami. New York because of the scenery. New York is a bank which feels different compared to a map like Colorado, a militia farm and base. Also, while I'm talking about hitman fav maps, I'd also liek to throw in Terminus Hotel in Hitman: Absolution. Because it's a hotel, and there's many different kinds of disguises in the map. Janitor, Electrician, and Hope Goon. This is an amazing map. Hope I didn't bore you out. (Edit: Thx WildGold for putting Miami on #1)
New York my favourite map. Mumbai is the most fun as a general single player mission, tonnes of side stories to explore, very authentic to India, but NOT a great Hitman map as it is a bit slow (Vanya Shah is basically just sitting inside a fortress).
I agree with most of the maps, Except Dubai and Dartmoor, Both are too easy and too small, I'm not saying these maps are terrible, But they feel empty, For example, Sapienza, Mumbai and Miami have many zones, which are not used in the main mission, but are important in secondary missions, On the other hand, Dubai and Dartmoor do not have this, the first times you play them they are fine, but after that it starts to get boring, This doesn't mean I hate these maps, Enjoy their story, and their Escalations, And the Seven Deadly Sins DLC too, But honestly I would change these 2 maps on the list for Hokkaido and Whittleton Creek, their difficulty at the beginning will be very difficult, but with time and thanks to the mastery they will be easier, In addition to that they are a decent size, that they both take advantage of with a secondary mission and their respective Escalations, And they have many ways to take down objectives (especially Hokkaido) If anyone reads this, I wish you a Merry Christmas.
I do not have a top 10 but my top five are: 5. Haven Island - It is a beautiful map with some good kill opportunities, but three targets gets really annoying really fast. 4. Paris - This map is beautiful and the layout is great. It suffers for me because after a while the kills have become boring. I can understand though as it was the first one. 3. Berlin - This is in my opinion the ultimate Hitman level, you take everything you have learned over the WOA trilogy and apply it. It makes you think. My only problem with it is the setting, but that is just a me thing (I have a type). 2. Mendoza - I really like the layout of the map and how many kill opportunities there are for the targets. I love how the tour carries on into its own story mission with or without Vidal and I love the proxy kills Wildcard: Colorado - I genuinely like the layout of the map and the kill opportunities but the problem is that it is restricted and everyone can light you up. Four targets are annoying but the map being small helps with that. Honorable Mention: New York - This map has a great layout but the objective gets really old really quickly. 1. Sapienza - Absolutely beautiful, great layout, both targets are easy to get to while still being a challenge, some interesting kill opportunities. Only problem is the virus.
Honestly i never got the paris love. I started playing with hitman 3 so it isnt because im burned out on it. The map even often feels a little clunky in quite some areas imo
Yeah thats the secound thing i hate, i am a patient person , but the ammount of times control was taken away from me in this game, just aggrivates the ever living shit out of me, and i cant move past it.
i hard disagree with the placement of dartmoor, as i think it was way too centered around the detective mission story and also that it is built way too much like a fortress
The only placement that I don't agree with is Chongoing because the map was never special for me I barely played it but it was still fun on first play through
The people that like whittleton creek really like it, and the ones that don’t really like it, don’t like it at all. Honestly surprised me to find out it wasn’t one of the most popular.
Someone will shoot me for this, but Miami is bad in my opinion. Robert Knox has an ass of a loop, and Sierra can really only be killed in her car when speedrunning. I wish they made the targets a bit better. I feel like it is like Sapienza, so much potential for more than one variation of the map, much like the Icon or A house built on sand. Where was whittleton creek on this list bro?!
Im not going to lie to you, Hitman 3 doesnt have 10 maps. Hitman 2 and 1 added into the game, gives it 10+ maps sure. but hitman 3, doesnt have 10 maps or even 10 story quest. They looks pretty, but you know exactly what im about to say. This is a yakuza situation where theres basically no fucking update inbetween games. food for thought , ultimately its a mechanically poor game, with a mechanically adducting loop, that initially put me off, because it wouldent let me do exactly what i wanted to do, when you surrender to the game, which is also a detraction, it becomes a much more pleasant but structured experience. They've coded in maybe 3 ways to kill a target, on what 7 maps, 1 of them involves running up to them and shooting or punching them, and the other is an environmental or poison kill. Hitman 3 has less mechanics than, jack and dexter on the ps2, and just a fact, idk, i give the game like a 4/10 where as i gave hitman 1 a 6/10 i relise now that while i wanted more hitman, there just wasnt enough to go around, and now i've deluded it

I love how the tour carries on into its own story mission with or without Vidal and I love the proxy kills
Wildcard: Colorado - I genuinely like the layout of the map and the kill opportunities but the problem is that it is restricted and everyone can light you up.
4:05 where’s the that’s what she said 😂
Hey can you maybe do a video to the 10 worst Hitman maps ? :D
already done
My Top Ten
10: Dartmoor
9: Isle of Sgail
8: Paris
7: New York
6: Mendoza
5: Haven Island
4: Miami
3: Sapienza
2: Dubai
1: Whittleton Creek
Honestly i never got the paris love. I started playing with hitman 3 so it isnt because im burned out on it. The map even often feels a little clunky in quite some areas imo
I think my top ten, different places aside, would swap out Ambrose and Berlin for Hokkaido and Whittleton.
Im happy there is a new video :)
Ambrose Island is such an amazing map and I love how it doesn't use mission stories
I am so happy for you
You got 1000 subs
Yeah thats the secound thing i hate, i am a patient person , but the ammount of times control was taken away from me in this game, just aggrivates the ever living shit out of me, and i cant move past it.
New York and Whittelton Creek my best maps
what the heck was the "sexually confused" part?
Look up her lore
@@wildgold shes just a lesbian?

@@wildgold I see your view, and have to politely diagree.
i hard disagree with the placement of dartmoor, as i think it was way too centered around the detective mission story and also that it is built way too much like a fortress
well done video!
The only placement that I don't agree with is Chongoing because the map was never special for me I barely played it but it was still fun on first play through
Just started playing hitman 3 and tbh my fav map is the India one just cux the NPCS are funny af😂
Also Merry Christmas everyone who celebrates, I am ortodox our christmas is 7. january
Serbian?
Wait what? I am bulgarian and I do christmas 25 December
@@KingOfTheSkies1 Yes
@@Ilikedogs2947 bro were you living under the rock, you visited church ever? 😅😂
@@Filip_Srdichey bro, I heard that Serbia and Russia are the only one who do Christmas in 7 January
Miami is my favourite map
whittleton creek not being on this is criminal
The people that like whittleton creek really like it, and the ones that don’t really like it, don’t like it at all. Honestly surprised me to find out it wasn’t one of the most popular.
Can you do a ranking of all 10 agents in Berlin?
I am a master of dubai and i agree its forgotten.
Maps With Lore >>>
my favourite has to be new york
It was my dad birthday yesterday can you wish him a happy birthday please
so sad they renamed hitman 3 :(
YOUR THOUGHTS?
W VIDEO LEGIT TRUE AF
Bros on a fiber wire kill count 😂
Mumbai tbh in a pc like mine (intel integrated graphics) is trash, map it's cool and all that but the lag is a lot, I should've got a better pc :/
Mumbai on the list but not Hokkaido, invalid.
I'm not that much of a fan of Berlin. In my opinion it feels to dark. The gameplay is very good though
Miami is hands down the best. I will throw hands if you say otherwise
Me = there's more than 10 maps total?
There are 21 maps in total if you include Romania 🇷🇴. Which really is like a mission.
sapienza is the best map
Aint no way he put mumbai over whittleton creek
Whittleton creek is one of the most hated maps in the Hitman community along with Colorado
Mendoza mendoza mendoza mendoza mendoza mendoza mendoza mendoza mendoza and sapienza
Maps with optional objectives are all bad
Love the text edits with the country’s flags 🏳️🌈
Y’all sleeping on marracesh
"sexually confused racer".... Sieara is a "She" but the "He" is capslock and Bold. so it's (S*HE*)
Honestly, Miami is one of my least favourite maps.
😂😂
bad taste. dislike.
Hitman 3 has less mechanics than, jack and dexter on the ps2, and just a fact, idk, i give the game like a 4/10 where as i gave hitman 1 a 6/10
i relise now that while i wanted more hitman, there just wasnt enough to go around, and now i've deluded it
Wildgold, how can I unlock slapdash SMG
Seven Deadly Sins, Sloth
I agree with most of the list I would place sapienza second but other than that I agree with everything good video
Chonqing is trash on freelancer
No it's not
