Mitsuhide Akechi is actually good guy, because of him Nobunaga the tyrant warlord is death.. Nobunaga kill many people who stand in his way including kill his own family member..
Samurai Warriors 1-3 and Onimusha are the only games that portrayed Mitsuhide Akechi in a sympathetic and heroic light. Sengoku Basara threw those characterizations out of the window by depicting the Akechi warlord as a ax crazy psychopath is more vile than the demon king Nobunaga himself who sees war and bloodshed as a game and waits for an opportunity to kill his boss at Honnoji.
I don't think real Mitsuhide was that of a great guy. No matter how much Nobunaga gave him bad times, what he did at Honnouji was delaying Japan's unification. This reason is actually why I like BASARA's Mitsuhide more.
