In late January 2021, the Resident Evil community received some sad news. It was announced that Jeanette Maus, an actress who featured in the upcoming Resident Evil game, Village, had passed away at 11:11 p.m. on the 24th of January 2021, just three days after the 'Maiden' demo was released as a PS5 console exclusive. I wonder if Jeanette had seen or been told--in that brief window of time--how well the demo was received and how her voice acting talent and brief appearance as Cassandra Dimitrescu had intrigued, scared, and excited people.
Just as Cassandra said in the demo, "I'm watching you," perhaps Jeanette now watches over our enjoyment of a game she never got to see, because the full game was released a few months after she left us.
I can't believe a whole year has passed already. Let's keep on loving Cass in memory of Jeanette. :)

@@racka4299 What’s really sad is that she passed away just three days after the Maiden demo was released. Her character was the only Dimitrescu daughter that featured in that demo, to my knowledge. I wonder if she ever got the chance to hear about or see any of the fan reactions to her character in that. I just know she never got to see the release of the main game or how much people enjoy Cassandra. 😔
