- “The L Word” returns to Showtime this Sunday with a sequel series that dives right back into the lives of Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals), Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey) and Shane McCutcheon (Katherine Moennig). But the eight-episode show, dubbed “L Word: Generation Q” will also introduce a new generation of queer Angelenos to the mix, including Dani Nùñez (Arienne Mandi), Micah Lee (Leo Sheng), Finley (Jacqueline Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas) and Gigi (Sepideh Moafi), as they experience love, heartbreak, sex, setbacks and success in L.A.
And Beals says that “Generation Q” component is one of the main reasons you got “The L Word” back - “because every generation deserves their series of love stories, really.”

I love this interview with Jennifer Beals. She is fantastic & has lots of wisdom.
Jennifer Beals is such a talented actress! So happy she's playing Bette 🙏🏼❤️
Great interview!
Jennifer Beals is and always be my fantasy . She has it all. My opinion from Vermont. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I sure hope they look for me an Expert in Homelessness, instead of winging it....I have been off and on Skidrow since 1981,I know everything about My Skidrow Community and I Love the L Word Show,I'm super glad that they are including my life,My World, being homeless and Part of the Gay Community has been hard and very unclear,so I wish this comes to pass and this show tells the whole truth about Homelessness in the greater part of Los Angeles.... I'm definitely here for it ALL 👑 ♥️
So Beautiful my Queen Jen!!

I don't like how in all these interviews the major idea coming out is that the original show wasn't inclusive enough. When it comes to woc we had Bette, Kit, Tasha, Papi, Carmen, etc and yes it wasn't enough at all, and now we have more poc BUT when it comes to sexual orientations the show was made for lesbians (and bi women), we wanted to watch it for that ! We don't care about more inclusiveness when the promise is in the title L Word, it stands for love but also for lesbians, so don't dilute it with other things that have nothing to do with lesbian relationships. That's the best way to lose your public guys.
Agreed. Personally I don't relate to or care about trans stories. It's fine with me to just do lesbian and bisexual female stories.
also papi was a gross stereotype, so please new l word don't do shit like that again
With respect to your comment and I have to both agree and mildly disagree. I have to strongly AGREE with you. It was a show about Lesbian relationships and that was the mantle that it carried. BUT I also have to disagree with you that there were as many straight people that enjoyed the show as well. At the end of the day, the show is about ratings and generating a profit. Was there enough of the Lesbian audience to support that? We don't know the "behind shenanigans" that were going on with writers, producers, and the puppet masters. The show to me always came off as a Lesbian version o "melrose place". People switch up and get these relationships. The biggest backlash for the show didn't come through relationships but when they killed off Dana. Everybody was pissed off including the cast. THAT was the stupid move of the century and then you have to look at the last season when the writing got really bad it was doomed. I enjoyed Kit, Tasha, Papi, and Carmen. The other stuff that had nothing to do with lesbians isn't what killed off the show. More of the bad writing and killing off Dana was incredibly stupid. I always tell people to pitch their own version of the L show and you will see the number of craziness and hurdles you would have to go through. It was not that easy.
if you hear closely you can hear a heartbeat, mic close to the chest
Beautiful 😍
kate moennig is doing cabal signs ... i love jennifer, its good to see her again. i wish they could bring back carmen, kit, etc. arienne mandi is the only good new character.
Geen minuut gedacht dat dit zou stoppen. Maar het virus maakt het wel moeilijk en dat is spijtig. Er zijn heel wat vrij scènes denk ik.

"L" Word as in "Libido"??🤪😜

They're going to screw Tina over, I already feel it.
T.M. Will & that's just disappointing!
Sucky...where is the one loving, monogamous actual working relationship? Everyone sleeps with everyone so far this new season & it feels juvenile & that sucks. All this time & Bette still has no real solid relationship? Odd🤔
jdpowerzz22 there wasn’t really one in the original series, yes Bette and Tina were great but they had their fair share of issues and were also cheating and breaking up constantly! The main loving relationship is the friendships between the main characters, just like it was in the original.
Lardass !
???
She is starting to look like Kamala Harris. Or the other way round maybe.
