    The land you showed was not uninhabited ,it had Aboriginal people there and still does

    Because the Australian government refused at one point to export them to Saudi Arabia and also have some archaic rule relating to culling. We have an overabundance of feral pigs, goats, horses, buffalo, cats, dogs, cane toads and camels.
