This is the Best channel on RUclips hands down ...💪😀
Sanders Motorsports :you sad the same thing about my channel. Lol
When it come to saving money and doing the work your self....keep up the good work
To me it goes ricer miata then tommyfyeah then Jimmy oaks then young static then adamLz
@@dontdogarage the difference with that list, they all have money to do what they do. but thanks for adding me in the loop.
@@YoungStatic build a single cam f22b2 or f22a1 and u gonna b #1 on my list nobody builds my engines lol
Failure is part of the game.
♡♡♡17.46♡♡♡ it's always to be continued and learn from your mistakes.. never simulate or emulate always be your own dog.. teaching yourself new tricks of the trade.. you just took backyard mechanic up by 10 fold... love your work stay positive be yourself always enjoy your work never get discouraged..♡♡♡ lots of love from New Jersey Tom♡♡♡
We always come back stronger from failure, it’s part of our life if we don’t fail we don’t learn 💯👍 keep the content coming Dana and I still say it you deserve more
this is one of my favorite channels. you do what we all want to do to hondas and you just know how to di it somehow
Love this fab work! I’m a design/mfg engineer and sometimes design fixtures, so it’s cool to see fab work like this done on Honda’s! Keep up the dope content homie!! 👍🏽
I’m learning so much from this. The failures, the over coming them. You have to anticipate it. Especially in this particular type of build.
This looks to be a 3 episode build. Keep moving on with it. I’m loving every minute of it and get excited when I see that you have posted a new update on this.
You made a mistake but you owned up to it and didn't let it discourage you. Many people would have covered it up but you showed us we all make mistakes, even if we're extra careful. Props for that and good luck with the rest of the build!
That is what i like most about this brother he keeps it 100 % and then some .. Mad Love from me every day.
Nobody wanna talk about Dana's new shirt? RIP hoodie.
Rip bruh
I was gonna ask if you watched any of Ryan’s videos! I watched him build that hatch! Sick build!
I think the cut off wheel is what caused the gap i was taught to cut in front of the measurements so you dont lose much material
as mentioned in the video. i made my mark and cut in front of the line. came out super short in the wrong direction.
All good fam i love every vid you post cant wait to see this beast of a crx to finish
Thank goodness when we are fixing our helicopters it R&R lol
hush guys are great to watch as well , his how to yard videos are always great
If you get a 7in grinder disc u might be able to hold the front section in front of the back and use it as a guide to make sure that match up tight dont have to cut all the way threw like that just hold it there to score your line in then move it and fully cut threw
after doing the first one, i dont want to actually make them kiss edge to edge anymore. given that the fwd arm are smaller, it actually slides right into the wagon arm with the center cut out giving it a bridge
Keep on keeping on. Glad ur determined to work through it 💪
So firnando Cuhna built the section 8 arms he welded 1/4 flat plat basically in your gap then a plate against the back making a T since the arms are 2 different sizes
The way it is now will have enough penetration with having it being a open root plus having backing for it will be fine without adding extra brace on the outside of the arm..
The plates your using for reinforcement are called doubler plates
We still believe in you Dana 💪💪
Bro your cats r hilarious..great vid man ..
Nice fab work bro! Super smart biulding that mounting jig. No fail in my eyes! Love your vids...😹😼😎😂
welder tip flat plate is your friend put piece between your gap and you have full surface for both pieces being joined together then gusset against plate .
Thats how it is STATIC learn from your mistakes your a smart guy THUMBS UP with the video.
Sick video man! Always enjoyed your videos. Even as a teen back in high school. I’ve learned a lot watching your videos and I appreciate that. Failure is a gain in my book because you learn and grow from it. Positive vibes only
Is that some j boog bumping in the background?? Okay static the reggae fanatic aye!!! Much love on the channel love the awd content.
that is correct!
It's coming out clean progress is better than no progress hell yeah bro get it done like you said s*** happens keep pushing forward to the all-wheel drive Finish Line
well done dana for having a bash i love doing my own work and making it work the lessons can be tough but everyday is a school day keep it going man.
start over static. make the jig with the hub pointing straight up. i think it would make it easier to move all the cut pieces around. im going to build upper and lower control arms for the rear of my 1991 caprice. helps me think to watch others.
jig worked out great as is. both my arms are done.
@@YoungStatic How many pieces did u have to cut them in by the end?
My granny told me when I was a kid If your scared to fail you'll never succeed
Cats crazy man looking forward to seeing the finished product
Don't weld the gap in the front. Cut a plate to fit in the front like you said and weld it on the front then weld up the gap on the backside. It will fill the gap and connect all the pieces.
stay tuned monday!
Nothing the great cant accomplish much aloha my bradda #1fanfrom808
i like the stick welder i have, because i can use it to cut 1/8'' sheet metal.
Love your channel. I see you have ads now. Hope your paid man. You have inspired me to get back in the garage
coming together nicely bro
The gap isn’t wrong or bad. You just have a open root gap to weld. Not a problem I weld open root all the time and pass bend test no problem.if you weld that right you won’t need all those plates to reinforce it. But right on bro keep it up can’t wait to see this thing done and see some awd launch’s
i plated the front and welded the backside to fill the gap using the plate to have something to fuse with
Still doing one hell of a job. You'll still get it
Hey Dana check out the Vulcan welder on Amazon . people say it's as good as any other high end. There's a few RUclips videos on it .
migmax 215 is the vulcan.
Awwwww 19.02...FUK..MAN...it's late night.. everybody needs attention at those late hours..♡♡♡
Gud job cuhz i wana c the rest of the youtubes do this shyt c how far they get
Measure twice cut once !
Is that an Element in the background? A YoungStatic modified Element would be 😎
Ur crx its so clean bro for real thoe make me want fix my 88 rex
Good job dude u getting there soon just take ur time & it will come out perfect. Im next 👍
Take the change out the dryer 😂
it was a liquid detergent cup lmfao.
It's coming out good bro
Much love from Boston.
I love long videos
Clm car is cut in half also you measure center hub center bushing
Better to fail than to quit!
Bro I follow your every move And your an awesome builder but I’m sketchy about this part...lol
dude just downhill with side to side movement the inside and grind a root on the out side and uphill the outside all with mig. done just like that. ill run like 3,2-4,2 meter a minute wire feed with like 110-130 amp power ish.
love the Cat...awesome
Thst cat is like " you forgot something nigga"😂
You'd be a lot better joining these butt joints at 45 degrees instead of straight. It would be much stronger. Great work so far man, good vibes from Australia !
Garaageadz Hi from Dallas Texas Where in Australia I went to Melbourne Australia for work on 2010 man i miss Australia its a diffrent world down their ill go again one day one day.
@@ricardorodriguez-se7tp I'm in Perth
hey bro I know you already bought everything and started building it but check out s1 built they make bolt in trailing arms for the swap
again as mentioned in my video, its out of my budget and im diy'er. i could build exactly what they have, i just chose to do the wagon arms because i already have it.
YoungStatic oh my bad and yea I know I'm the same if I can build it I will I just saw that it was given you a little of a hard time and saw them I figured I'd tell you
Dope content!!
bro the first part you made is the prototype because you need correct the imperfection you can do it and dont worry. Dont Forget you stuff from the washer machine
peace
What you got in the dryer cuz.?? Another set of trailing arms ?? Hahaha
apparently someone was drying their blanket with the detergent cup in it lmfao.
And the news say its dry is California!
is the washer machine? Btw thank you 4 share all you video
dryer with a liquid detergent cup lmfao.
YoungStatic jajajjajaja like me in my first time living alone in Illinois . I'm forgotten my jean on washer machine in the laundry
Also it looks like the front of the arm was just not cut straight u might have been able to square the cut up and get it closer
Keep it frugal . Built not bought . Gained a sub from me my man
S1 tuning has a DYI kit for stock EF awd. No cut the controll arm.
cost $, $ i dont have.
Nice work Youngstatic, you are a essential part of the of the Honda scene for me. Quick question: how do you like the Makita 3/8" anvil impact?
i love it that i have 2 of it haha.
@@YoungStatic Hehe, i have two Makita 1/4 hex impact and i am looking to get the 3/8 impact because I love the torque of the makita but I'm sick of using the hex to 3/8 adapter. I just never knew they had a 3/8 anvil, i only thought makita had it in 1/2 or 1/4 hex.
Why didn’t you stair step the cuts instead of the straight cut? Wouldn’t that have been a stronger way to join those two pieces?
Noted. Killer idea
first time doing this, im learning as i go.
YoungStatic oh yea I get it completely I love the channel and honestly surprised my comment got a reply!! Wow I’m not any type of fabricator by any stretch of the imagination. My questions come purely from curiosity. I appreciate your feed back and your awesome channel!!
Don't you have to offset the lower control arm? The strut will be in the way of the cv axle.
wagon rear arms are already offset. did you watch the video in mute?
Great job man
Great video alot of good info thanks man
You can weld that gap
💖💖💖
💖💖💖
💖💖💖
Did u slide the civic trailing arm into the wagon trailing arm? Or did you kiss them together ?
as mentioned in the video, the fwd arm is slide into the wagon arm and welded.
Mann only if you could help me build my Eg Hatch and you’re local 😕
Bro where this vides at bro they cant come fast enough
i upload m-f @ 12pm. i dont upload sat-sun
Lol i be feenin
What drives me insane about the AWD craze is everybody talks about the trailing arms but nobody talks about the much more concerning issue...(at least to me) MOUNTING THE DIFFERENTIAL.
I know youll get to it Dana, its just annoying how theres very little info on this important step.
Drill holes and mount it. It’s not that hard.
Itz Knt it’s a lot harder then you think you’ve gotta make it level with the trailing arm so the axles don’t bind and gotta figure out where to put the gas tank or make a new one cause the stock one won’t fit and then reroute the exhaust as well and make sure the drive shaft won’t bind up and the u joints don’t snap off
@@pawg206 you have no idea what you are talking about. The gas tank needs to be deleted in most cases. And its not like it just has 4 holes on top that you can just drill holes in the floorboard.... That is idiotic. You need to fabricate a "cradle" for the diff to be mounted to the chassis.
"Just drill holes and mount it." Jesus Christ, have you ever seen the under side of a car/ truck before?
Dylan White see you answer your own question.
@@pawg206 how in the hell does me knowing the rough guidelines of what needs to be done imply that I know how to implement it?
Go somewhere else ass hat.
Get a new AWD arm and cut it 1 inch longer and tuck the other one inside of it, look like the crx trailing arm is much smaller than the AWD trailing arm, so you dont need to deal to compress the AWD arm
the gap between the toe arm tab to the wishbone is longer on the wagon arms. not going to make 2 section cuts. i rather slide the crx arms into the wagon and weld it there.
@@YoungStatic yes slide it in in the wagon arm, crx arm is smaller in diameter than wagon instead of connecting it..
@@YoungStatic so no worries if you cut it short, you can just work on it bro, your pretty good of doing whta you had 😊
Does the awd crv fit even though is a five lug?
“His nagas are up my head now”
Dana aka YoungStatic 12/2018
Static what's all that exercise equipment in the. You pumping them iron?
i use to, if youve seen my older my videos, my uncle uses it everyday.
