I think Lady really likes logging. The pace of the work and she likes to pull. And she really likes working with her teammate Bill. They make a great working pair.
I love the care you have for the horses and the forest. The impact upon the woods is negligible when logged by an experienced horse logger! We’ll done. Thanks for sharing your time with us!
Bill and Lady are such a beautiful and hardworking team of Belgian Horses. They're so willing and a credit to Jim Gordon's great skills a great horseman and trainer.
Jim You are the most intelligent horse logger. You are always aware of your safety and the horses safety I also think you are the most efficient of your time and effort in the woods. That can only come from age and experience. I appreciate you and all of your hard work in the videos. Brenda is a huge asset in front and behind the camera. I have always admired what I call ” heavy horses.” So I love your channel. My grandfather told me that phrase when I was a child. He took care of many heavy horses in World War One. In France for the British army. So thank you for reminding of the many stories he told me when I was young.
Oh how I love to see them all hitched so beautiful ❤ your such a calm quiet person with your horses I enjoyed riding along with you so peaceful……thank you for sharing your wonderful life with us all …….
Thank you, Jim, for taking the time to position the camera so we could see what you were doing. Very enjoyable video. I just wanted to give Lady and Bill big scratches in their favorite spots to thank them, too.
I love watching. Due to health reasons I am no longer able to have horses. I miss driving. Your videos allow me to have the view of driving, I am just missing the fresh air, and bumpy ride.
What a great video today Jim. Bill and Lady doing a great job today. That last tree was in slow motion to me which was awesome. God bless you Jim and take care of you and your beautiful horse's while in the woods 🙏🐎🐎
Good morning from our New Hampshire farm. I can see you have made good use of your horses logging this past week. We have not been logging of late. Just read Brenda's news letter. Brenda your photography is excellent! I especially like the early morning photo of Jim and William talking while preparing the round hay bale. And I really look forward to your new news letter updates.
Amazing video, to me it’s like watching a kind of skillful dance, between falling the tree, chaining to the cart, pulling with these beautiful horses and the knowledge and experience of Jim. Thank you for letting me come along ❤ it.
More like veterans along w/ Ken. Is it true at back end of a horse Lady stands taller then Bill. Would thar be for all bred of horses or just Belgium. Lady on the left Bill on the right.
Not much talking, which makes for a nice work environment, I think !! The video alone is self explanatory. When you have a team like you had today, they know exactly what to do and get on with it !! Missed not seeing Brenda, though !!
nothing but excellence, what a wonderful fresh clear day.sure wish all of us regulars could of been there to toss the small stuff for ya. love the sounds...progress !
what a great video. It is always an enjoyment to see videos of Jim working in the woods and doing what he knows so much about. Lady and Bill are so fun to watch. Nibbling on brush and leaves. Seeing them working on just JIm's voice commands is so interesting.
I enjoyed this video! It's peaceful and a perfect team and logger working in union! Neat to see how the trees fall at the end of the video, the power of its impact onto the ground could take anyone out instantly!
They are so agile backing up ,forwarding , from just a ha ha or ho. Find myself pronouncing "careful" as you do! Thank you for supplying a logging legacy and all the farm activities attached!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this video, so relaxing to watch after a morning of packing in our home. Of course we enjoy all your videos, but this was a treat. Thank you for sharing, Brenda and Jim!!
My neighbor as a kid was Mennonite or not practicing Amish but they had Horses a riding Horse and a work Horse. They took us for rides on the sled and sometimes Horse back when they rode Her. There's something about the quietness and jingling harness that's really special. I can see how it would be hard to leave it behind.
As always Jim and Brenda I just love ❤️ your videos and Abbey’s. You must be running around changing your camera for the different angle’s you must be tired by the time you get home 🏡. But Thanks 🙏 a million. Love ❤️ from Ontario Canada. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Wonderful to watch you and the horses. They are so trained and accostumed to their job. Beautiful team. Thank you for your effort to place the camera so we could see. I wish I could toss the stuff out of the way. So peaceful and lovely. Thank you.
This wonderful video will let you see a tree harvest in a way that, if there were no camera, appears like he would do if he were the only person in the woods. Jim is getting to expert videographer. Is Paul Smith College teaching the art?
At the 29:20 mark, you demonstrate a chain hitch to back away from the tree. You have talked about cradle and rolling hitches. Maybe a video on the different ways to run the chains and the best times to do the differences? Jim is clearly a master.
Jim I been watching a channel that uses mule loads log without skidded but one thing that really helps him is he has a new logging cart I looked at them before. Keeps most of the log out of the mud. So much easier for the horses why haven't you ever considered this. Some of the log sizes are huge. He will even work 4 horses together in the woods. 3 short logs on a 10 ton truck pulled by 2 horses
Great day of logging and with a great team!! Just wondering if you can tell Lady is showing her pregnancy more this time than when she was in foal with Bree? All I can tell is her hind quarter is a lot wider than Bill, but she's always been a little wider than Bill anyway. They definitely work well together!❤
Good afternoon, I know the logs carry different than the horse pulls. What's your guess on the weight of logs together? Also some of the smaller logs can you bring them back and cure them and then burn them? I'm assuming Lady is the largest one she seems a bit wrestless today. She must of had some time off.
Fun video. Two questions: the first long log seemed to ring a bit the way dry wood does but it looks freshly cut. I’m wondering about that. Second, do you have cell phone service there? And are you concerned about getting hurt when you’re out there alone?
ONLY 20 CALENDARS LEFT! This may be your last chance! ► www.workinghorseswithjim.com/shop
Your calendar was my Christmas present to myself. It's terrific.
It is a pleasure to watch a highly trained and seasoned team and their teamster work. A thing of beauty.
The best horse logging videos on RUclips!! Those horses listen better than most kids.
It must be so much more relaxing when lady and bill are working together with you. They are so good together and know exactly what to do.
I think Lady really likes logging. The pace of the work and she likes to pull. And she really likes working with her teammate Bill. They make a great working pair.
Love to see Jim working the horses and working with logging. May the lord bless and protect Jim and the horses
Love that team they seem to be more happy together
I love the care you have for the horses and the forest. The impact upon the woods is negligible when logged by an experienced horse logger! We’ll done. Thanks for sharing your time with us!
It’s really good to see Lady and Bill working together, they are such a good looking team.
Amazing he can back those horses with more precision than most people can back a car😂

All I need is the essence of pine or spruce in the computer room and that would put me right in the forest with you
I can see why you're in your happy place in the woods, Jim! With the company of Lady & Bill, it can't get much better!! So peaceful!
Oh how I love to see them all hitched so beautiful ❤ your such a calm quiet person with your horses I enjoyed riding along with you so peaceful……thank you for sharing your wonderful life with us all …….
Your horse is a mirror of your soul!
I can’t imagine owning a finer team of horses than Lady and Bill!! They sure seem to love their job!
That last log roll was a thing of beauty!
Lady and Bill seem to mind their manners when they are working and not cause trouble.
Was so relaxing to watch Jim, Lady, and Bill walking through the woods.
Thank you, Jim, for taking the time to position the camera so we could see what you were doing. Very enjoyable video. I just wanted to give Lady and Bill big scratches in their favorite spots to thank them, too.
Great to observe the harmony between Jim and team in frictionless cooperation.

Lady and Bill are seasoned troopers and it really shows. But Baron has come a long way! Duke and Earl are still in high school. Love your videos!
More like veterans along w/ Ken. Is it true at back end of a horse Lady stands taller then Bill. Would thar be for all bred of horses or just Belgium. Lady on the left Bill on the right.
@@Michael-ld2crI was noticing how much wider Lady's back end is than Bill. I wonder if it's because she's pregnant?
I think it’s like a woman’s hips! Room to get that foal out!
Beautiful day to be in wood 🪵 with the horses 🐎 Jim . B carful .
What a lovely video! Jim accomplishes so much while still enjoying that peaceful presence of the horses. This is logging as it should be done.
Not much talking, which makes for a nice work environment, I think !! The video alone is self explanatory. When you have a team like you had today, they know exactly what to do and get on with it !! Missed not seeing Brenda, though !!
Doing the video and the logging by yourself is impressive, Jim!
nothing but excellence, what a wonderful fresh clear day.sure wish all of us regulars could of been there to toss the small stuff for ya. love the sounds...progress !
My late husband and I cut our own firewood and that was my job. Thanks for the memories; we spent many a clear winter day in the woods.
All three members of the team worked hard and looked good today.
what a great video. It is always an enjoyment to see videos of Jim working in the woods and doing what he knows so much about. Lady and Bill are so fun to watch. Nibbling on brush and leaves. Seeing them working on just JIm's voice commands is so interesting.

The sights and sounds of Jim the teamster with his faithful team are exquisie! Thank you so much❤
Love watching the trees slowly fall as you drive the wedge in!!!!
How peaceful! I love watching your videos!

Love watching you and your horses work! Thank you for taking your time to share with us all!
The very beginning of the video looked like a sleigh ride through the woods. A great looking team
I am impressed with your team. They have got to have some solid mind to take so many direction changes. Most horses would flip out.
🤔 good day in the woods, liked two segments in vid skill video, logger experience, well trained horses , simultaneous movement 👍
How much longer will you be logging with Lady and approximately when is her foal due
Lucky not having 4 ft on the ground. I got about 2 in, in my part of NB Canada.
What a team Jim, Brenda, Lady, and Bill. End of the day job well done by all
The quiet in the forest is so nice.
Love it. My granma's father had a horse who knew the way home from Oslo to Kolbotn and he could sleep while the horse drove him home.
enjoyed how you were able to pull the trees from being tangled up, John G from Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada
Jim, I love watching you work! Both logging and your care and attention to the horses and where they are, or need to, be going.
Peaceful. Quiet! So beautiful! Thank you so much from North Canada

I really enjoy watching you work in the Forrest, in a winter wonderland especially when we are having a week of 40c+
Super great and peaceful video

Thank you for your video. I know it adds more to your work setting up all the shots but it really is appreciated.
That was awesome to watch! Loved some of the camera angles you did👍
This is so beautiful! May I have permission to use these scenes for my art work? (I'm not a professional)
sure
Dream Team.. your youngsters are coming along though. Give them a few more years, and the will be the go to Team.
thanks Jim

Beautiful team❤
Thank you
Good video Jim
I miss having a team you can send off on their own.
Hi from Brunswick, Maine, US....
This has GOT TO BE THe Hardest work in the world! No reason for..Jim to go to the GYM.
great video
With all that Great Slash wood, you should consider making Pellets for Pellet stoves and grills! $$$
Amazing

How do horses shit as they walk along ? I cannot do it lol . Love your work . I used to skid when I was 15 years old. Not too easy with just a chain
how does your saw start on one pull
That chainsaw always wakes me up! Maybe we could invest in a better muffler? 😊 Love the videos.
Factory muffler . Jim has ear protection ,on his hard hat plus face screen for saw dust protection. 😊😊😊
