The ref called play on. That’s it. Play on, tigers gain possession and score, that’s the game. This is a tigers win. simple.
I’m with Gus, the bunker is demolishing games. The game is getting faster. More unpredictable, ( better entertainment obviously ) however in that is killing the game. The ref is the ref, he makes the calls, the coach is the coach, and the players are the players. Yes south’s planted the ball down. But that whistle didn’t sound, play in was the call. starting to really feel the games are money making gimmicks.
Players don’t play with the club in their hearts, lack of pride. soft. Bring back the early 2000’s footy. Bring back the biff. Bring back the pride. Most importantly, bring back NRL

Remember Alex J botched a try plus a penalty. So fair dinkum they pulled away well. Little off but they weren't switched off they were up to it. Tough to play consistent every week as teams are out to knock the too teams. So it's expected

@Michael Peters Me too I am a South's fan. The ref was at the rear when the try took placed which made him difficult to see whether or not if it's a try or not and should have consulted the video ref.
Was Luke Brooke's disallowed the try ol fkn referee awarded.
Does the ref have to award that last tigers try to get a review??? Can he not ask for a stoppage on the game clock and then ask for it, like foul play incidents.

Yeah because forget going to a video referee first, if you see a guy running with the ball, nah let him go, call a play on, give a try, and give them the false joy they deserve I guess? Sack Sutton lol, enemy of both teams
So he denies Brooks the chance to score by stopping the play to review even though he already thought Burgess had lost the ball over the line? So what then, he stops play, goes to the bunker, it's a lost ball, and now Tigers have to play the ball out from their own end? Doesn't make sense. Much better to let play go on, then review, because had Burgess lost control of the ball, it's a Tigers' try and they win the game.
@@henryireton11 That's just a complete waste of time and energy. Yeah sure Tigers would've had to start from their own end if it was a lost ball and that should be fair enough on its own either way. Burgess was claiming he scored after he got up from putting it down, that should've been enough to, at the very least, take it to video referee and see what happened rather than waste time, energy and emotion to everyone. I mean giving points, then letting the bunker intervene after the points being awarded and reverting the decision is so unfair to both teams.
@@jontimestwo3749 His view was blocked by the goal post, all he saw was a loose ball, he thought Burgess had lost the ball over the line, therefore the ball would be live... Of course he's going to let play go on.
Why on earth would he deny the opportunity for a team to play what he thought is a live ball and prevent them from scoring in favour of stopping play to review? That makes no sense at all.
This is NRL not NFL.
@@henryireton11 His own view was blocked by the post and yeah all he saw was a live ball, but he completely disregarded the fact that Burgess had his hand up claiming a try and instead just went for the dude running with the ball. Sutton's only going off from what he saw and completely turned the other way from what really happened. It was ignorant. He's not the only referee there, he has multiple referees as well as the bunker. While I put Sutton at fault for that last bit, I also put the bunker at fault for not intervening the play quicker. It just goes to show you can't always just rely on the on-field decision and just sometimes need to take a step back and look at the replay. Sutton can't only rely on his own intuition and point of view when he didn't even see the ball being placed down in the first place. He just played it on without even looking. It was ignorant and wasted too much time for no reason.
