Thank you. I just bought one of these and it came with no code. I made the tool out of a soda can and it worked! I got it open in about twenty minutes and was then able to reset it to my own combination. This really helped a lot.
This is bananas! I found an m176 in the parking lot and did not want to throw it away. I finally found a good use for those 100 different feeler gauges I keep buying, A lock pick, made me one like in the vid and went to town. In 10 minutes had the lock decoded! way cool
That's what I'm talking about we get to see and learn how to open the lock and then you give us the know-how to make it brilliant thanks buddy we could do with more like you. Keep them coming. 8882 huyton UK
I had a master 176 that I couldn't open in my shed. I forgot the code. I watched the video and I made a tool from a beer can and found each gate, added 2 and bam it opened. It took me about 15 minutes, but if I had better material I could make a tool and open it in 2 to 3 minutes. Great video.
I have this lock. It is open, but I don't know the combo or have the key. And it won't depress to reset. How can I decode it in this position or reset it?
thank you, i tried the 2 mm ledge trick, my hook was a little too big and i cut it down a bit , was able to feel the first 3 wheels , just spinner the 4th wheel til it unlocked , 0888 was the passcode , i can’t reset it tho
I have a master m178 combination lock I have found the gaps between the wheels and it has stopped on 1278 any ideas of what numbers I should put in for that
Michael Stewart ok my friend. you should have found the gap in between the numbers. And when that happens you bring it to the next number and then go up two numbers. So if you found it between say 3 and 4 bring it to the 4 and go up two so that number should be 6. I hope this helps you my friend.
My neighbor gave me a M176 cleaning out his garage, locked and no combo. This worked. I now have a cool lock! thanks man!!!
