Great interview! I just got more into the classic pure networking side of things working as a network admin, mostly managing network devices specially switches and firewalls, I’ve found some small places for automation like building a Ansible Vm and use it to backup all the network devices configs, or adding a new user/change a password type of tasks, I would love to dig deeper into the automation side too since I think it has a lot of potential for the future!
As always thanks for another great video David!

Thank you once again for an awesome and informative video David. I'm in the process of learning Linux right now and also studying for my CCNA and before I watched this video I had no Idea which platform to start implementing automation. I was going to start with Ansible but It sounds like Python is the way to go because it just seems more scalable in the long run! Thank you again so much for your educational direction and I appreciate all that you do for us! Cheers!

I think python is pretty satisfying, perhaps more so than just memorizing IOS syntax. I do wonder how much scripting will be relevant when the rat race to learn it increases. As it is now, certain network automation platforms are going to be present when you begin a position, so learning python, as nice as it is, could be irrelevant as the scripts already exist in the network automation platform of xyz job.
What I’m getting the impression of, is that particularly for the US, is that Cisco TAC contracts relegate enterprise personnel to be generalists. This makes it pretty difficult to learn any singular skill (on the job), as the skill is essentially not progressively overloading each day - so that you can master it. So python is nice to learn but dont expect to get fancy with it unless you spend a fair bit of personal time to get good at it.
    My .02 cents

And another thing: I turn on my new hp notebook yesterday 14 november. Setup windows 10 and ok. Goes to Desktop ok.
I went to Settings-System- Windows specifications and says: date installed: 11-08-2021 ... and I installed it yesterday 14 November 2021.
Could be 11-08-2021 is when HP put windows in the notebook? (11 august?)
Or should I change notebook to the store?

I am currently software engineer but i want to learn more about networks/network hardware/servers/adminstration. The big problem that i have, how can i play around with networks/active directory if i am at home? I don't have a company like network or even hardware. I can't setup a server rack cause i have never done this and i can't buy one (too expensive). But on the other hand no company will take me as an administrator if i can't setup a server rack. So its like the chicken and egg problem. Any suggestions?

PLEASE HELP: I have a brand new HP Notebook. I turned it on and the message hp cmos checksum error 502 appeared. I know that when it was purchased they entered the Bios. Today after the message appeared, it led me to the installation of win10. And I did it ... but now I have a doubt (because I saw on the internet that the error could be from the board or the bios stack) ... What should I do?
Should I return the Notebook to the store? Or will the problem have already been solved if windows 10 was installed?
Today I turned it on and the error did not appear again
