Marc Bolan was huge in the UK during the 1970s.
I first became aware of Bolan because my mum was a fan, she had a sticker of Marc on the glovebox of her car.
He sadly died in a car crash.👍

The androgynous greatness of the pocket rocket that was Marc Bolan! Good to see the backing singers so high on, er....life! This will probably be early 70's as he was killed I a car crash in 77. They also did Children of the Revolution and Ride a White Swan 🤗

Electric Warrior was arguably the first classic rock album I ever bought back in 1971! A must have album for any true Marc Bolan and T.Rex fan. Bowie, Cooper and say Elton John take a lot of the plaudits for the greatness of the 70's but Bolan was the real deal and deserves as much if not more credit in my opinion. My first real Rock hero.

T Rex were one of the biggest UK bands of the early 70s with a string of hits. They'd been more of an experimental psychedelic rock band in the 60s under the name Tyrannosaurus Rex but discovered the joy of having chart hits !

T.Rex were part of a subgenre of rock in the UK called Glam Rock, it included artists like, Sweet, Mud, Mott The Hoople, Suzie Quatro, Slade, Slik, and early David Bowie and Roxy Music, listen to any of those Artists and you are in for a great time but my recommendation would be to start with either Cuz I Luv You by Slade or Blockbuster by Sweet

Suzie Quatro, Susan Kay Quatro[1] (born June 3, 1950)[2] is an American singer, bass guitarist and songwriter. In the 1970s, she scored a string of hit singles that found greater success in Europe and Australia than in her homeland, reaching No. 1 in the UK, other European countries and Australia with her singles "Can the Can" (1973) and "Devil Gate Drive" (1974). wiki.

@barriehull7076 spot on although she was from America her producer was British and she moved to ths UK in 1971, her producer was Mickie Most, he also produced records for The Animals, Donovan and Jeff Beck. She had a very unique sound being a bass player and lead vocals, a female Lemmy Kilmister if you will.
